Where do you see the clause / statement that mentioned so? If you're referring to the T&C clauses below, then you gotta re-read & understand what's the difference between transaction & posting dates.

Correct me if I am wrong.

SCB JOP cashback cycle is based on Calendar month, meaning all July transactions must be transacted and posted in July to make up RM2500 in order to maximize the 15% cashback tier. And cashback will be calculated and posted in August.

The 'first week' clause here is an extra leniency from SCB to allow transactions to be posted within 1st week of following month and still considered for the current month spending.

You already spent RM2500 on Bigpay on 1/7-3/7, so RM30 CB confirmed.
From now on till 31/7 (but must be posted by 7/8), pump petrol up to RM200.
If you pump RM100 before 31/7 (posted by 7/8), you will get +RM15 CB.
If you pump RM200 before 31/7 (posted by 7/8), you will get +RM30 CB (max).

Just to make life simple and understandable, you can ignore the last 3 lines. Just spend between 1st-30th every month. 99% you will get the rebate.

As 99% of the merchant also wont drag your payment for so long. They will usually settle the transaction within 1-5 days as they also want collect your money from your credit card bank. Even the settlement days can drag upto 60 days...its unlike happen. I never face merchant settler my bill more than 5-7days during my time using cc. haha...usually 1-3days they will settle n transaction will be posted on your card.

I experienced twice before at Mobil (before converted to Petron) stations, the transactions never got posted after >6 months, then I cancelled my CC.
