Hi to all Sifu,

If I read correctly we will only get RM30 if we use RM2500 on e-wallet? That's 0.012% CB. Don't you think it's a bit low?
*
it's actually 1.2%. When you've maxed out other cards with higher returns, lower ones will do - better than nothing.

$2500 online used to earn us $85 cash back until June.

For me I would not reload an additional rm1000 to BP/Boost to get an extra rm2, I would use OCBC titanium for an extra rm10 assuming I have max out CB for other cards.

I don't have ocbc but will looky see smile.gif

Extra 1k to roll, bro so that less rush at month end for the ASM.

Actually I think the reason is to max the cash back. 高手 already say, 2300 online and 200 petrol and autobill. My petrol and autobill add together maybe 100 only. So I've to allocate online even more.

Yeah you're right. So does it means I'm correct? Even AEON big card is better in that case. RM25 max with 2% CB for online transaction.
*
Decimal points? Lol

But yes. You’re about there.

Aeon is on FCFS which is rather annoying and most of the time not getting it so terminates that card already.

Prefer something that’s confirm.

True. But they have quota usage up to 7th so I’m good with that. 😂

Plus SCB gives free ride from airport which saves 80 per month so it’s worthwhile still.

K.I.S.S.

You already spent RM2500 on Bigpay on 1/7-3/7, so RM30 CB confirmed.
From now on till 31/7 (but must be posted by 7/8), pump petrol up to RM200.
If you pump RM100 before 31/7 (posted by 7/8), you will get +RM15 CB.
If you pump RM200 before 31/7 (posted by 7/8), you will get +RM30 CB (max).

OK, now i'm blurred ...

Before 1st July, we just need to spend within month to get RM85 max once we hit RM2,500 (15%)

Right now, for July portion (August return), when is the period that we need to spend after having this CLAUSE 3:

QUOTE
. Transactions must be posted within the first week of the following month to be eligible for meeting the
minimum spend stated in Clause 1 above. Please note that transactions may be posted late by the
merchant. The Bank will not be held responsible for late posting

Does it mean that we need to spend before 8th July 2019?
And July portion actually only has 1 week utilisation ?

July RM60 = 1st July ~ 7th July
August RM60 = 8th July ~ 7th August
September RM60 = 8th August ~ 8th Sept

Please correct me if i'm wrong

How about Ambank true card with 3% CB for RM30 max per month? Is this card also FCFS basis?

Yes but SC didn't clearly define the cut-off date/day for first week of the following month.

No..wrong. You still transact before end of each month for that mth cb. What he means is, if you purchase on 30-31st of the month, and the merchant somehow only settle your bill more than 7 days. then you not eligible for cb for that spend.

To avoid these problems, avoid making purchase when close to cb cut off date...most card is end of every month.

It's just roughly the same concept as MBB.
If you afraid that the posting will be late, just avoid spending at the very month end.
SCB better than MBB as it has additional 1 week buffer for the cash back calculation.

I have no faith of easily getting AF waiver for JOP and LFC.
Thus, I won't be tying my auto-debit to this card; given the chance of I will cancel them in the event of AF waiver rejection.

think this way.

if transaction is NOT POSTED, how would they (SCB) count?

so, scb is giving a cutoff timeline to begin calculate the cb.

posted transaction = final, settled transaction = if any refund/dispute, standard chargeback process applies (long process)

unposted transaction = not final = any dispute/refund/void can be triggered quickly without the long cycle.

Yea, just an extra buffer for us and them to calculate the cash back.

But they also no mention actual cut off period so from the clause i will think as by monthly which is "8th to 7th"
