not only the process is so slow, but the applied additional useless card for me. don't care about the free gift anymore, just gonna cancel both cards asap.

not illegal, but more to unethical business practice. other banks are doing the same, CIMB is notoriously-famous on doing this. i remember someone in this subforum gotten 5 cards after applying just 1 card.
if you want to take it up a notch, escalate to BNM and cc to bank, for their unethical practice. even for doing so, bank would just cancel the cards.
else, since you gonna cancel the cards, just terminate them and have a peace of mind instead (more worth than arguing with banks).
there are many options out there anyway.
fyi, going thru RP is always a risk to late responses, etc. most ppl attracted to the gifts, but smart ones would apply directly from bank and start reaping the card's benefits ASAP!
