QUOTE(Avangelice @ Dec 7 2016, 05:24 PM) how to diversify when malaysia is bleeding and US and Europe is still under speculation. of course switch to Asia ex Pac. plus you dare to create an aggressive portfolio for your girlfriend or wife knowing she will kill you if you lose her money. You might need to puasa for a year as punishment!

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Dec 7 2016, 12:08 PM) just did a generation of returns via the fund selector. 50% in fixed income and 50% in balance fund gives a return of 7% within the first year. I don't dare to build her an aggressive portfolio as she is one of the scared to die investors. from there will maybe top up her minimum investment in Ponzi 2.0 as her birthday gift and ask her to place a minimum amount of myr 200 into Ponzi 2.0 on a monthly basis. From there I can slowly give her a 50% in fixed income 25% in equity and 25% in balance funds. all centralized in Asia ex Japan for the time being. I remember our moderator Cherroy mentioned that the good run of bonds in the last few years cannot be replicated. 7% return could be too optimistic.

Great idea! Although I think 7% a bit high also, cos this is effectively capital and returns guarantee A bit of oversharing, but this is what I do with mum's portfolio. I have a target return of 6%; 60EQ:40FI. Barely meeting it at the moment; so 50% Select bond and 50% AIF I'm not so sure if you can really make 7% in the short term. 2016 been a volatile year
