Now onto feedback.. battery life on my phone today has been the best!

After 12 hours and I'm down to 45% from 100% with nearly 4 hours of screen on time.

Thanks to those that introduced greenify and recovery mode cache wipe, it helps a lot.
for the forumer that had the same greenify issue as  me (manual hibernation required), after the recovery mode cache wipe, clicking the greenify hibernation button will hibernate apps without manual intervention albeit 1 by 1.

Battery temp 30-35 celcius during normal usage unless gaming etc..

[add on] battery temp in office (airconditioned) is around 25-30 celcius

Is this a discussion thread or Samsung fanclub thread? I see many people bashing those who just share news and factual information, which is useful for others and also creates awareness. Whether they own Note 7 or not, does it matter? News is always news, regardless of whether its positive or not. If you think they're trolling or trying to bash Samsung, they won't post up news that's FACTUAL and after replacement phones.

Samsung won't terminate its note series laugh.gif
as for return note 7, wait for official statement before do anything else
if really ask everyone to return can consider s7 / s7 edge, but then will miss s pen

they will still have something that uses the pen.

they might change to another name.. if they feel the Note name is too affected by this issues.

honestly, Note7 is still the best android phone around. if there's one thing I don't like, it's that edge screen. I can't use my s-pen to smart select the edges and had to use finger instead.

anyway, I'm preparing for the worst in which Samsung needs to take back and cancel Note7. I really dunno what phone to get, and at the price which I got it (telco deal).

three other options just seems to require me to compromise.. on either having no microSD, or some other thing.. haiz..

if it's just big battery causing issue and Samsung need to put in a smaller battery instead, I'm still ok with that.

anyway, see how it goes over the next few days.

having had to use my fingers for some smart select.. I'm beginning to think I can probably live without the pen. smart select was one of the main reasons I love the note series and the edge screen is a pain for me..

There is a possibility that Samsung will kill Note7 sales and start buyback/exchange programs due to bad and irreversible reputation of Note7. It is just not worth the manpower, time and money to try and get it right again at this point and development work on Note8 should be halfway done by now. But Samsung definitely won't kill the Note series. I might return my Note7 to Samsung instead of selling it off to another victim (me myself is enough), use back my Note2 and wait for Note8.

Of course, I hope Samsung could provide S7/S7 Edge as interim phone and exchange for Note8 next year. So basically, current Note7 users will get Note8 next year in exchange for all the risk and inconvenience imposed to us. This will give better Note7 users a great bang for their buck and loyalty.

There are bunch of alternative on the market such as Huawei, OnePlus, maybe even downgrade to S7.

But if you have a spare phone then just wait for the upcoming Galaxy S8, thanks to this exploding issues I guess Samsung will "finally" bring supreme quality and specs in order to get more people hyped up for their product, in worst case scenario where if they have to cancel Note7 of course.

I would totally get a refund even if they don't cancel the Note7, this thing has been giving nothing but worry since even safe devices also exploded after few days.

this.. I like and I can agree. I think I can still go with note8.. bit having seen how useless the pen can be with curved edges and I understand curved screen might be the only thing Samsung provide for flagship, I might just just get s8, if we get offered a decent deal for it

btw, I moved from note 2 as well..

just dread having to go back to it.. partly coz I need to get new battery for it. it's bloated up.. **sigh**

but ya, note 2 is still one good phone.

I was using the p9 during the period before replacement.

good phone and affordable, but Note7 is still way better, even the camera.

OnePlus 3.. that's the microSD compromise.

ya, s7.. oh well.. see what happens and then decide from there.

Either provide S7/S7 Edge as interim phone, or repair our old Notes for free if we upgrade from these (I doubt they will, where to find old Notes spare part nowadays?).

don't worry. It won't happen.

Samsung would lose a lot. and also damage to brand name.

The Note series won't get kill, it still the best and the only fully utilize the Pen pretty awesome.

If they wanna stop, I believe Samsung will only stop the Note7 this model, and eventually out the Note8 or at least a Note7s pretty soon.

** Current replacement is still Note7, just people automatically call it Note7s.
