finally i realized what is the culprit of battery drain. wipe the cache, battery seems improving by alot, and temp run cooler as well. recommended to everyone who got their phone, to wipe their cache beforehand. prior to that, phone is tend to get hotter easier too. now it seems that i managed to tame this beast

tested with numerous of battery savings options such as disable bloatware via package disabler pro, not so much, pretty much limiting the capacity of the phone, and then using greenify with excessive dose mode, really a road warrior but big trade off with no instant notification.

currently, everything enabled with just mid power saving mode, only changes that i tick is reduce brightness to 80%, and now battery is 56% ish, with 3h 20m SOT with Waze 27m 30s, Gaming (Clash Royale 9m 4s, Clash of Clans, Sky Force Reloaded 1h 9m 40s, Pirate King 11m 28s), Internet browsing + LYN roughly 20mins). Im quite satisfied.

Finally, the battery temp seems okay.
But I love the new replacement so much. The battery life on this phone is the best compared to my other previous phone.
I got 18 hours of battery life but still have 19% left on my phone. Unplugged 7.30 am till 1.30 am avg. SOT 4hrs 31 mins. Mostly on 4G data Digi. Only a few hours on WiFi.
Forget to take screenshot. Will monitor again today.

This phone is the best battery life I have ever had. Even better than my old Note5. So no regrets buying this phone.

yeah, i got roughly 12h+ standby time with SOT of 4h 21mins, with 35% battery left.

hows the case? tight enough? the rock TPU case not tight make the button difficult to press.
*
considered tight, but very slim don't think it's very protective towards the phone, but its a looker. button pressability ok.

there have been numerous posts saying x-one SP is not working well with the phone..u sure u wan venture into this decision?
*
that why, but i just want to get back case protection. for rm89 i think is ok lah, hahaha. but not fixed yet, heard that sp is super durable, maybe after the screen warranty is over, and then move on to mobile outfitters i think by that time should be cheaper. but the camera lens and home button screen protector is needed.

Been using without SP for 2 weeks for the previous unit. No visible scratches at all.

I played Sky Force with S-pen pretty much everyday but still no scratches. I even try scratching it with a key also no problem. So I will be using the new unit without SP too.
*
guess I'm not the one who also addicted to Sky Force lol. High 5. played with loaner phone S6 Edge + the heat really intolerable. Note 7 before wipe cache quite warm too, after wipe so chill jer.

my take on the RSV, let Samsung themselves to offer with their trade in program, and if you think its worth, just let it go, if not why not just use it? It wasn't that bad afterall.

most of the 2nd batch recalled issues batches are manufactured on sept 21, if you notice, i think most malaysian's replacement are on sept 23. at least for mine, onyx black.

2nd batch also exploded?
I think this is the end of Samsung, maybe real comeback for HTC and Sony
*
from the unverified sources on youtube. i don't think it will end of samsung, but of course its pretty much heavy damage. nonetheless, both s7 and s7edge is the only model that caught revenue for them, without note 7, i think they're still able to survive just they can't make profit.

just skip his video. his video is full of hate as mentioned on the comments it self. How can be the title is full review where he endless pointing out the same frust. I don't see it help us on the pre order owners by any means.

Same goes to alot unverified sources, many choose to believe just because it went viral or so and even some prominent news portal use this tactic just to get news value. So it would be best for one if really keen to share the news, to take consideration of the accuracy or concreteness of the sources.

If my life is already threaten like this, I wouldn't even lie. It was obvious that Samsung will try to cover up if he returned the phone.
*
My questions how many hole that Samsung will try to cover up? If this only one case of it. And we got approximate 2 mill devices around the world? And covering up comes with cost though. Just something to ponder. If I were Samsung, I might think numerous of times doing so. There's so many loop hole from the user perspective so to speak.

I agree that reviewer is misleading on his title. You are right that it does not help you all on the pre order owners by any means. But please keep in mind that video is not made for the owners. It's for the people who are still considering whether to buy Note 7 or not. As you can see, that reviewer already put that description "is this phone still worth buying?" on the preview.
*
It's ok. I still think it doesn't even matter as I don't think it would make it to shelf with tons of this kind of news happening around. Since its a concern, I would still think those who've considering should not think of it for the sake of safety. Why would one spend over RM3k just to get a phone that you already no confident with.

There's no news on SME whether the Note 7 will landed here officially or not, and now even with the unverified case. So what's the concern now, Ifags can go to Machines and get their iPhone 7 next week Friday. I don't see a need for a reply if one is not interested nor have already owned one. Those replies are utterly unnecessary.

Malaysia only have 4000 / 8000 units during pre-order and never had chances to on sell yet after the pre-oder. This is not the case in others country which had much much more pre-order and start selling more before the exploding case happen.

Never not means it won't happen, we shall do preventive before it get happen.
*
Yes true that. But what can you do to prevent it? I'm so sorry, I don't think one by replying here can get it preventive unless it being sold in Malaysia. Not selling in Malaysia is one of the preventive measures I think so far. And by far I can pre sume that most of us the pre owners are aware of the status and does know on how to prevent it.

Never doesn't mean won't happen
I think it's only the matter of time before we got explosion case.
Hopefully not in a crowded LRT station, on an airplane, in a classroom full of students or during a crowded mamak yamca session.
*
True, but if it destined to happen, it will happen anyway. Its just matter of time, as discussed, the phone won't be exploded randomly, there must be a stimulant with excessive heat for it to explode or so.
