Just wondering if anyone actually got any refund? Got mine from pre-order but was thinking of getting a full refund instead, it's kind of annoying to have all my friends talking about it and they feel a bit uncomfortable while chatting with me due to exploding cases of these phones, and I heard that new replaced units exploded as well.

they will still have something that uses the pen.

they might change to another name.. if they feel the Note name is too affected by this issues.

honestly, Note7 is still the best android phone around. if there's one thing I don't like, it's that edge screen. I can't use my s-pen to smart select the edges and had to use finger instead.

anyway, I'm preparing for the worst in which Samsung needs to take back and cancel Note7. I really dunno what phone to get, and at the price which I got it (telco deal).

three other options just seems to require me to compromise.. on either having no microSD, or some other thing.. haiz..

if it's just big battery causing issue and Samsung need to put in a smaller battery instead, I'm still ok with that.

anyway, see how it goes over the next few days.

There are bunch of alternative on the market such as Huawei, OnePlus, maybe even downgrade to S7.

But if you have a spare phone then just wait for the upcoming Galaxy S8, thanks to this exploding issues I guess Samsung will "finally" bring supreme quality and specs in order to get more people hyped up for their product, in worst case scenario where if they have to cancel Note7 of course.

I would totally get a refund even if they don't cancel the Note7, this thing has been giving nothing but worry since even safe devices also exploded after few days.

It seems like you've experience with refund before, will the process take long? If you know.

it does not take that long. its not by cheque, they will auto transfer to your bank account.
It will takes 1 week to get the refund after you fill up and sign the refund form.
*
So now I'll only suffer for a week, is this real though?

i just refund my phone but not note 7.
but 1st you will need to get a call from samsung HQ on this and fill up form and sign it.
Once they submit it, it will takes 1 week. they directly bank in to my maybank account after 1 week.
*
The "get a call" part, how do I do this?

you need to call their careline to escalate this.
For my case i went to service center and they help create a case for refund option because I request for it instead of service.
*
So that means you went there two times, only the first time is to "request" for refund, they call you and you went back there, which is the second time, am I right?

i went to service center for 1 time only and directly request for refund on my device.
After few days of escalating careline to expedite the request then samsung HQ personally call to my mobile and send the form via email. after fill up and sign then i rescan it and send it to them again.
*
Oh, that was easy, thanks though haha

Don't think any of the customer or consumer will ever buy the Note 7 again since there are already so many cases of explosion, gave them a chance for the recall, but they blow it up (literally). Of course I'm talking about the normal consumer, not the ones with high loyalty.

To me, it's only logical for Samsung to entirely kill off the Note 7, continuing will just ruin the whole company reputation and heavily affect future products sales

Hi bro, yours used set or seal set ?

if used set can option for refund ?

I haven't exchanged mine for the Replacement Unit (Yeah I'm crazy, I know), I'll probably refund it with it sealed.

But I think both sealed and used can be refund.

Just chatted with mysamsung live chat.
No refund for the 2nd safe green battery batch.
Only applicable to the first exploding batch.
No exchange program so far.
*
Since I haven't exchanged mine yet for the "safe" unit, I can get a refund?

Mine didn't specify if it needs to be first batch or second batch, but allow as well.

Also he said that I need to go to CS Center since they are in-charge of this.

It's better to end the nightmare this way (temporarily?) rather than continue to rush and make a second recall which will also cause another explosion disaster, where it will definitely make consumers never trust on Samsung anymore.

Just filled up the refund form, will get my refund within a week (transfer to my bank account).

They say I can get my refund immediately because it is not the replaced unit (Yes, I have not return my Note 7 for the new one with the green battery icon), but to those replaced unit will get to refund, but not now, will need to wait for SME announcement.

Don't even need to go the Samsung Service Center, I just filled up the form at where I take my Note 7 from. Too lazy to read if anyone provided this information, sorry if they did.
