Nice. Did you disable any unused apps or used it without much tweaks?
*
Does not tweak the phone using any software at all as any other people. I always stick to stock. biggrin.gif
At first the battery is not that amazing, after a few days the battery power saving feature kicks in.

Wow your friend S7e is a rare  super super fast charging phone....even say is 30 mins while 60 mins isn't even possible!" Most S7e users will say is grossly untrue...90+ mins is more likely from empty. I was a previous S7e user too
*
I cam attest to that. I own both the S7E and N7 and I would say charging time for the S7E on fast charge from 5 % to 100% would be around slightly less than 1 1/2 hours.

Have you tried to key in your imei number in the Samsung imei site? See what's the result first.

http://www.samsung.com/us/note7recall/

If your number does not pass the check, that will mean that your phone is still a recalled unit.

Fast charge is a feature of the phone that you paid for. It could even be one of a key deciding factor in getting the phone. So it is a big deal if it is not working when it should.
*
It still has the fast charge recalibrated with taking slightly longer time, not total disable not working right.

I checked. The unit is a new unit and safe but if I board a plane, how to tell those people checking the phone that it's safe? People only recognize Green battery icon!! Samsung advertised that well. green Icon = safe phone... sad.gif

That's too bad. Have you tried to reset the phone after the update? If not, try it first. May be the reset can fix the issue.

If reset also cannot solve, then I suggest you to complain to SME. Tell them the reason, the problems you may encounter, and ask them to fix it asap. If they claim that they cannot do anything about it, then you should ask for exchange. Afterall, it's not your fault. It's the software problem. Samsung already promised that new phones will have the green battery icon. Yours don't have the green icon. That means Samsung broke their promise (technically). You have the rights to ask for a replacement.

It depends. At this moment, most of the airlines still allow new Note 7 on flight. But due to the recent incident, today some airlines started to "re-ban" Note 7 (recalled or post recalled unit) on flight. For one, a Taiwanese shared this photo when he/she took flight today. Do notice the message mentioned that as long as you are holding a Note 7 (new or old, it doesn't matter now), you are advised to switch off the phone and charging is not allowed.

Your is gold color ?

when I replaced mine from Court the lady told me if gold color must OTA update to latest firmware to get the green battery icon.

If still cannot, then go back Samsung.

Mine was Black so the replacement already with Green battery icon

Also the the replacement phone box, there is a black box after the barcode at the side. The problem one box doesn't have the black box. Please check again

Your unit must be gold color. Need to update firmware before the green battery appears.

All four US carriers allowing Galaxy Note 7 swaps for any other device
http://phandroid.com/2016/10/07/exchange-g...7-all-carriers/

At this rate, they might just decide not to carry/ sell the note7... in which case, % of demand will drop significantly... probably best Android with worst sales ever... :S

1 quick question guys, any1 regret using their replacement unit and wish to use other brand or happy with the new unit?
*
i'm still half-half...

in a way, do regret a bit that i opened by replacement unit. could have kept it sealed.

but... in a way, no regrets also coz its the best phone and suits my needs. many others just don't have all me requirements.

if i have to complain... it's the curved screen. totally tak boleh... when i wanna smart select from the sides... cannot. need to screen shot and use fingers instead.

watch movies (which i do a lot) also not as fun coz ya, the curves interfere with the whole experience.

if Samsung tweak the fast-charging, it either they not sure what cause the battery explode or something that can't be solve. If you really sure the problem is about the battery and safe battery being replace, why you still make the fast-charging slower which have no benefit to your customer. Sound fishy there.

They can't abandon the whole product too, what they can do is minimal the damage now.
*
if it's really issue and they just tweak to minimise... that's still opening up to lawsuit coz that means they know there's an issue and try to hide it.

i dun think samsung that silly to do this. probably, they dun really know what is wrong...

Not logic la if fast charge only take 30 minutes to full. There is a video shows that a 3000 mAh Note5 takes 90 minutes from 0 to full charge with Adaptive Fast Charging turned on.
At around 80% the charging slowed down to slow charge the phone to prevent fast degrade of battery. That is normal. Experience using Note5 for 1 year.

i think OnePlus 3 dash charging can do that... smile.gif
