My replacement screen display colours look the same to me. (I don't use adaptive Caz over saturated, I need accurate colours)

Home button is tight and fit, firm to press, no issue.

Battery life so far is as good if not better. SOT 7hrs +-

Tried Clear cache and notice average temp is reduce today, so far manage to stay around 32 -35. B4 this easily reach 36, 38 normal usage.

Fast charging take longer time, same for others as they report. believe Samsung made necessary adjustments on the battery issue. From 6% to full take 1 hour 32 mins shown on lock screen , while gsam battery monitor reports 2hrs.

USB c port is tight ok with diff cables I have.

Fingerprint sensor is faster .

Iris scanner I don't use. From what I read is faster too.

Cheers

does anyone have a good app that can control the sound profile? as in when switched to mute, it will turn off all the volume (including media volume)?

last time using CyanogenMod, got such thing
*
Bro strongly recommend "Audio Profiles - Sound Manager" by Ferran Negre ... can set all volume 1 by 1 including the samsung's system volume ... can even schedule timer ... say at night auto turn to silent ... morning turn back to normal ... been using it long time .. perfect .. even got simple widget on home screen to change profile anytime easily ...

Btw just got my Otterbox Defender ..... 1 advice DONT GET IT FIRST =.= ... damn the sensitivity sux like hell after putting on .... I've been using Defender since dunno how many years ago ... first on my HTC Desire Pro (I think i even forgot the model name lol), then my Note 3 and now my Note 7 ..... yeah the touch is always not the best because got an extra layer on top but it was always exceptable ... but for this note 7 1 .... i totally cant type properly ... im using Swype and the line doesnt even connect to get a full word ... very bad ... will send an email to Otterbox after this

Any A - Z brand will burst la when punctured or under heavy pressure on the battery area. Li polymer or lithium are all prone to it.

The recall was confirmed as defect on battery from manufacturer.

I don't understand why the questions, predictions and repetitive topic keep coming?

Why not wait for the result from the investigation, while we the OWNER or Note 7 can flood this section with our replacement unit such as battery/bugs/ etc etc???

I got the same problem.. my replacement unit is warmer/heats up easily even at min load.. also the battery drains faster
After a full charge.. a few minutes of web browsing brings the battery charge to 95%..
My pre-replacement can last 1 hour for a normal browsing..
I will try the clear cache method tonight if it will help..
But the most frustrating of them all is the fast charging not working like last time..
My pre unit takes just 30- 45 minutes to fully charged from empty or almost empty battery..
But now.. it took almost 2 hours from zero vmad.gif
*
hmm?
both heat up almost the same but i feel current unit is less heat than old units.
replaced unit is more battery saving for me oh...
haha
charging speed on current unit is confirmed slower.

While u guys chatting whether the display is prone to stratches, I have 2 hair line on the flashlight , heartbeats sensor cover. I suspect it is not glass but only the camera lens, or diff material to it.

usually i use amoled photo, but colour too warm and reddish shown,
force to switch back to adaptive mode.
current unit heat is lower compare to 1st one.
1st unit white color is whiter than current one.
even it shown 100% still need sometime to fully active battery cells.

heart rate sensor using normal plastic only, not glass type material,
but you could search for glass protector for sensor and camera lens on garage sales.

i'm more happy with the 1st units while current units seem more stable~
so i would want 1st body build, screen then put current unit's internal battery and mother board on it.

1st unit before replace can feel the build quality is better
replaced unit software heating is better

The cover of the flashlight and heartbeats sensor are made of plastic. It's the tradition since the older models in Note series.

As I guess so. Ic, no wonder. My first note .. lol

I don't really notice my replacement has poorer build than first one.
And is glad to continue use as daily driver after exchange.

I'm not really happy but I find no phone to suit me better than note 7. I need the spen sometimes, and so far seems no other phones' camera can compete with note 7.

Then I need to use secret folder to open 2 accounts in some apps.

So stick to note 7.

If indeed the charging speed for the replacement Note 7 units are confirmed slower than the previous batch (especially during fast charging), then Samsung is very likely keeping a BIG secret from all of us. Meaning there is an inherent design / engineering flaw within the Note 7 itself whereby even changing the battery cannot resolve the issue. This certainly is bad. Cheating their own customers is a serious no-no.

The fast charging is almost like a useless feature now coz the difference from normal charging is minimal.. 10-20 minutes difference for a zero to full charge

if Samsung tweak the fast-charging, it either they not sure what cause the battery explode or something that can't be solve. If you really sure the problem is about the battery and safe battery being replace, why you still make the fast-charging slower which have no benefit to your customer. Sound fishy there.

They can't abandon the whole product too, what they can do is minimal the damage now.

Speaking of this, there's speculation saying that Samsung indeed know the reason why Note 7 blow up, such as design or faulty component. But they don't want to take the blame of it. So they claimed that SDI battery is the culprit. In short, SDI ended up becoming the scapegoat. This also explained why China version which is using different battery manufacturer, ATL, also having the same issue. It's because the explosion have nothing to do with battery.

any teardown link show what they replace in the replacement N7? Or just the battery different? If the speculation is true, then more problem still coming.

Yup. I also suspect it's not battery..
More towards design or some components problems..
