SST only RM25/CC, can easily earn back from campaign or large amount transactions.
I already earned special cashbacks worth >10 years SST for my Maybank credit cards. smile.gif

no post is good news! Let this card die a natural death here (card R-I-Pieces)

i keep my FCB due to credit limit use (ad-hoc high-spending which cannot fit into other cards)

already cancelled another principal's FCB, which already redundant.

Have cancelled all my cards with Maybank ... No point keeping them anymore .. shopee and grab card don't seemed a good card. Looks like MBB has lost touch with the people

Maybank cards are still very good and less troublesome. There are a lot of shopping and dining deals, including Lazada and Shopee.
M2 Amex still give 5% weekend cashback, Maybank FCB VS still give 1%, good for insurance and general use. Eg I am buying something worth RM3000 at a computer shop or furniture store.
Maybank CC only not good on e-wallets and utilities.

rarely have large transactions, and no luck with winning anything from maybank2me. already decided to lose some gain some, i.e. save the 25 bucks and lose cash back should i have large transactions in the future.

i did smile.gif told them difficult to earn the reduced cash back to offset the service tax.

May I know if my card expiry is on Oct, mean my SST will be charged on 1 Nov..

Can i still use my MBB card in Oct, and expecting cashback on 1 Nov, but, cancel the card on early nov without paying SST? maybe 2nd Nov after the cashback is viewable in m2u.

I accidentally spent RM 51 in Sept and I thought I won't get any cash back as it is < RM 1.00. Just checked my transaction randomly and I still got RM 0.51 cash back. laugh.gif

you're aware that the $1 refers to the amount you spend instead of the amount of cashback no?

I thought cash back? Hmm. Regardless, not important for me as the amount is not significant.

Actually, RM 25 service tax annually, not that bad right? I am not saying you cancelled because of the service tax la. I don’t think that with the 1% cb, we cant really get back that RM 25 back, in 365 days.

CC not really just good in cb amount/percentage, but also how useful it is. With higher CL on a single CC, we can treat the 1%cb as a bonus, as we can make big purchase seamlessly.

Of course everybody disappointment with the merely 1% cb. But, RM 25 annually to retain a good CC (for me MBB CCs are good), is really not that bad.

A swipe of an OKAY smart phone/annual insurance if you pay it annually/few times of good meals with family in a year/total spent on petrol in a year, easily get back the RM 25.

Of course still better cards out there i suppose. Specifically for dining, specifically for petrol, specifically for online.

RM 25 yearly for a nice CC? It is a deal.

There are nicer cards out there. laugh.gif It's really difficult to justify. I already paid my SST in April, will keep and consider until next round's of SST.
