trx on 30 is on May or April? your sentence is confusing.

if transacted on May and posted on May, should be 10%, no?

if transacted on April and posted on May, should be 10% also.
*
Transacted in end April rm400, posted in May.
Others Transcated in May rm600.

Total i get rm8 + rm60 = rm68

Dont seem fair ... But logical? Lol

Seems to be quite inconsistent on Maybank side. I have a transaction on 31 March but posted only in April. However, due to this, i missed the 2% cashback and lost RM50. Been trying to reach their CS...

That transaction not given cashback for April?

thanks for sharing.

seems MBB's cb calculation is based on traditional 2-decimal rounding, not the usual 2-decimal truncate/rounddown method.

I felt that for fcb Maybank just adds up total expenditure and times 10%

Technically speaking,

>RM2.5k on March 31st but posted on April
>RM2.5k on April Month, posted within April

Total Cashback gained:
March = RM0
April = RM50
May = RM100

So the highlighted spending above didn't get any rebate at all cry.gif
*
I think the part in red should be April 2500 as your march 31st expenditure is counted into april pool. I guess that is the answer given to you by Maybank.

Looking at all the discussions on transaction / posting dates, it doesn't really surprise me.. looks like the way AmEx cashback is calculated/given also, right?

I.e. % CB is based on transaction date. For FCB, if transaction is done in April, CB is 2% while transaction is done in May, CB is 10%.

Cash Back cap is based on posting date. Thus, transactions posted in April will consume the April CB pool (max of RM50) while transactions posted in May will use May CB pool (max of rm100).

Thus transactions in May but posted in June will still get 10% CB, but will have a RM 50 cap.
*
Sounds like it. So in effective you can get 150 rebate under 10%

Starting on 1st Jan 2020.

From now till end of the year. No minimum spending required.

From 1st jan till 31st dec 2019. U will need to spend 120k to get the annual fee waived. Else 1st jan 2020 the annual fee will apply on your card.

obviously i am referring their own way of 'waiving' and not to waive according to what gahment collected.

I dont think scb used the word waive then. I remember the sales was trying to avoid the word waive when i applied for that 288,188 cashback thingy

I supposed in June.

I got my FCB VS on its first day of launching in October last year, I should be charged with SST next month even though my card's expiry month is in April.
*
I think follow what stated on card. I got a maybank card approved July but charged to me September as expiry date on card.

I also tried some on 31st Aug near midnight on BP and maxis. Both worked to get the 10% but Sep's cashback pool. Payonline didnt work (transacted in the morning on 31/8) coz the transaction is counted at 1st Sep.

So I got like RM36@10% and RM13.9@2% haha... sort of compensating my 30th Apr swiping "rugi" biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I thought of that too. But I think they are doing both at the same time. Don't play play. This 50 is only part of the entire game.

It's just favourite pastime for most, and it's secondary pastimes I guess lol.
