QUOTE(xyunknown @ Jun 9 2017, 11:45 PM) Do you have other maybank credit card, says Maybank 2 card before the VS? If I am not mistaken, when apply for additional card, Maybank will tally the anniversary date of the card with your other Maybank card. For my case, I got my VS card in Dec 2015, and Maybank issue the card follow my other card anniversary date, which is July, and as July 2016 is only 7 months, they will not charge for any annual fee. But they will do so in July 2017. I believe that is the reason why some forumers have not been charged for the 1st year. Nevertheless, this card is really good, feel sad that I only hit the rm30k spend, but my card is old card in 2015, so will require rm50k to get the AF waiver. Might need to cancel the card in July. Nope, VS is my first Maybank CC but I have savings account for more than 30 years I think, then before the anniversary date approaching, I start to apply ikhwan and 2 cards.

QUOTE(nxtpg @ Jun 21 2017, 10:39 AM) Bcse don't want to waive the mvs annual fee😡 And because of that reason? When you applied this card you know it well that it comes with AF and whether banks waive or not, it is entirely up to the banks' discretion. Knowing Maybank, it will never happen. Maybank is still one of my favourite banks amongst my other cards from other banks.

That's RM11k if you times with the 5% cash back. It's almost 1 years and 3 months now and yet i saw any AF charges in my maybank2u acc.

QUOTE(nxtpg @ Jun 21 2017, 10:07 AM) Goodbye mvs. Byebye. Terminated. Now any other cards offering 5%rebate for petrol n groceries? Already have PB vs wait for another 3 months and re-apply again. in the mean time you can use PBVS to spend on groceries. for petrol, you can apply for Maybank Ikhwan but it is only Friday/Saturday cash back. Or you can apply Citibank Cash Bate, got 5% for all days but must accumulate RM20 for that month then only got the CB, else it will bring forward. UOB also got 5% plus additional 2% smart rebate for BHP but only apply to Sat/Sun. You might check ringgitplus for more information on petrol CB.

Why not just M2C? 5% rebate on anything for Amex during weekend. Most if not all petrol stations accept Amex, including most groceries dept stores as well. However capped at RM50 compared to VS.
