For existing CC holders (especially M2 Platinum/Premier), if credit limit > RM7000, BE 2018 > RM48k, if you send application to Maybank Card Centre at 1U/Gardens or via Email, success rate is nearly 100%.

Don't use M2U card application, I was too confident and rejected by the A.I. Robot. Then I emailed my application to Card Centre for review, got approved with CL increased by 50%.

Even though I was on MBB Islamic, my credit limit at the time of appeal had been reduced from RM 12k to RM 2k only.
And at that time, I have significant AUM with MBB and yet, I still failed to get the crap MBB FCB VS with annual income of < RM 60k.

Crap? In which sense? Anyway, MBB is famous for rejection. Some get while some don't, not sure how they assess.

It's one of the above average cards in the market but not the BEST card in the market.
If you have the problem with the ELITE tag also, file to forum owner to get it remove as well.

There is no best card yet.

Someone (quite close to me) was having the same problem but he refused to give up Ikhwan (CL reduced from RM50k to 10k) and his FCB VS + M2 application was rejected after second review. His income > Maybank Premier's income requirement.

My opinions:-
(1) Choose either Conventional CL or Islamic CL, not both.
(2) Conversion from conventional CL to Islamic CL is allowed (conversion form is available at M2U), but not vice versa. For your case, you need to apply a conventional CL, not transfer your islamic CL to conventional CL.

I know some people may not agree with me as they are having both conventional and islamic. But the sequence is different, from conventional to islamic is easy!

if u holding m2 platinum/premier confirm approved for FCB VS. if walkin at card centre is easier. just produce your m2 PLAT/PREMIER...signed 1 form and settle edi. saves time also compared to normal application.

If you're holding a higher tier card from the same financial entity, it's very simple to add another lower tier card.
No need to even submit any income documents.

yes. i even printed my BE 2018 and bring to card centre. waste paper liao..they said no need. . thats why i share here. save the environment. hahaha

If you give BE 2018, they may increase your credit limit!

Yes, I wanted to increase my CL when I got M2Premier, the officer said in that case I will need to submit in my income documents again. If I just want to apply a card on top of my existing cards, then no need to use income documents.

I will probably do it later.

CL is based on income doc

If your last applied MBB card is few months back, you'll be likely being triggered for submitting income document to re-evaluation since it's a higher tiered card by the way.

Do note that M2P minimum annual income is RM120k
M2Kard AMEX Platinum needs only RM 60k while MBB VS needs up to RM 100k
