have you checked whether both overseas purchasing and online purchasing is enabled for your card? Apple might be doing a RM 0 verification charge in the background and those being disabled might block it from occurring

also can try making sure your iOS is updated to 17.3 and that your phone region is set to Malaysia

worse comes to worse, try replacing your card at a debit card replacement machine (usually will have at major Maybank branches)

Probably just replace a new card from the kiosk since the card also expiring soon.

New to iPhone and just started using Apple Pay. Saw yesterday got a cash back from Ambank with Apple Pay transaction incentive of RM30. What about other banks, like HSBC and MBB. Got such incentive?

It’s been a year and a half since Apple Pay was launched in Malaysia, and apart from Wise, there hasn’t been any additional banks/wallets that have adopted it. After months and months of “coming soon” from BigPay and Hong Leong without any news, I gave up waiting and just closed my other accounts and opened a Maybank account. I suggest you do the same too. This is the point of competition, I suppose—Maybank gets a new customer because it adopted a popular technology, offering it for all its debit/credit cards, while the other banks lose a customer because they drag their feet, probably because they’re unwilling to give a small cut of the transaction fees to Apple.

no benefit gain by integrate with apple. some more they need to pay apple. Just apply any existing CC that support apple pay. like me got SC , Wise and MBB

Lmao don't forget CIMB, they said by 2H of 2023 but never delivered. Say but don't do, worse than saying 'coming soon' with no delivery date.

My main cc is Public Bank Visa since 2017. Love the cashback campaigns. However no Apple Pay. I couldn't wait so I went for SCB card back in Dec 2022 just for Apple Pay lol. It becomes my secondary card.

Apple Pay is convenient but no benefit unlike Samsung Pay (even though the benefit also shaved down a lot compare to launch period)

for now i only use Hong Leong bank Wise & PBB Quantum Visa in Samsung Pay since Apple Pay no support.

MBB & SCB & Wise (green) into Apple Pay.

Same as Samsung Pay, right?

The last 4 digits will not be same on the receipt (*****xxxx)
Even the Samsung Pay app after verify bio-metric / code , the numeric of the CC will change for reference.

another category of lazy banks that did not deliver: banks with apple pay enabled in other markets, but did not enable it in Malaysia

Example: UOB Bank, OCBC Bank
