any ideas if any other commonly used apps in Msia supports Apple Wallet (for loyalty cards, boarding pass and tickets etc) too?

Is it possible to get a virtual card without applying for a physical MAE card?

i would ignore these kind of requests

if they want to cancel the transaction then by all means, but i am not going to pay again

i would just say i will never pay again, cz i consider this as double charging

If their card machine has accepted my card and the transaction is successful with the receipt printed out, i consider that as done deal from my end. how would i know if the merchant double charged me?

it's not my problem when the merchant chose not accept AMEX while their machine did. If they really dont want to accept it, do it the right way and disable it on their machine

any new leaks on which new banks/FI will support Apple Pay?

pretty disappointing when the only addition after launch was only Amex and HSBC, and only CIMB committed to launching in 2H23

Is OCBC bank supporting Apple Pay soon?

Just updated their Malaysian bank app, and noticed that the app supports Apple Wallet features

I just find it weird that UOB actually has their own NFC payment solution built into their Android App (UOB Pay)

they should've just supported Apply and Google Pay to free up bloat on their app

rule of thumb (based on my own observation):

if Maybank terminal: 95% will accept AMEX

if UOB and CIMB terminal: 60% will accept AMEX

if Hong Leong Bank terminal: 30% will accept AMEX (examples: 99 Speedmart and Burger King)

if Public Bank terminal: 0% will accept AMEX

Apparently Vietnam will have 6 banks supporting Apple Pay at launch.

Weirdly, MAS only supports adding boarding passes to Apple Wallet, but not the digital enrich card

Most major airlines (SIA, Emirates, Qatar, Cathay etc): you can add both your digital airline loyalty card and the boarding pass into Apple Wallet
