Hi guys,
I have 4 days in Hong Kong plus 2 half day due to flight

Currently our plan is to spend 1 full day in Macau and 1 full day in Oceanpark and 1 full day in Ngong Ping
Im wonder if that is worth it? Because I would love to explore authentic Hong Kong streets not spend the whole trip on tourist destination
Which would you recommended for going?
*
Wow so may places ... so in total you have 6 days for your trip, after you visit the places below then go for authentic Hong Kong streets, should be enough, make sure to read the MRT map so that can travel one place to another in the shortest time.

Ngong ping dont need full day. nothing much there. Waste time only. Half day is enuf. Use cable car ( by Klook booking), else you need to queue for hours. BAck use bus and stop by Tai-o village.

So cable car up the mountain, then take bus to tai o then bus back to hk?
The bus have to book beforehand or just get ticket on the spot

thx

Depends on what you want to do actually. Lantau Island quite nice, it's one of my favourite place in HK. Riding the Ngong Ping is pretty fast; Lantau Island will easily take you 2 hours to slowly explore and walk to the Buddha statue, including taking photos etc. If someone in your family likes shopping, there's the Citygate Premium Outlet (Tung Chung). The rest of the half day can be spent at Premium Outlet or going Tai O'. I was half-half about visiting Tai O, thus i didn't go.

Depend on what time u depart from your hotel biggrin.gif .

For me i spent whole day at ngong ping and tai o but i depart around 10am after breakfast, reached ngong ping around 11am. Had my lunch at Ngong ping, spent around 2 hours walking leisurely and enjoying the view before leaving for Tai O. Took another 2 hours at Tai O inclusive the bus and boat trip before calling it a day and left around 5pm.

I was lazing at home and just watching the news. As I am not at the island side, not much of an impact. Its still business as usual here, at least in my office. Also most of my staff are not from HK, hence non of them took part om the protest. smile.gif

Ahhhh so the protest took place @ HK Island area? Wasn't sure the exact location. Good to know not all is affected, otherwise imagine the disappointed group of tourists to find a lot of places closed or roads barricaded to bar entrance etc.

Its at causeway bay, wan chai and victoria park. All at HK island though. Actually can be quite touristy too. A few of my colleague purposely go there to take photos and got free yellow umbrella. smile.gif

Seems that condition at HK got worsen. There's a triad attack on Hong Kong protesters and attack at subway.

To those who travel over there please take care and be careful.

if not yet plan/do booking and stuff, I won't plan to go now, because it is escalating every week, like today public transportation also got some issue so things like this might affect your travelling experience.
But I don't think it is unsafe to visit still.

if you're in the transit area at the airport, is it safe?

I'll have a transit in HK next month.

if just transit shouldn't be any issue.... as you not going out of the immigration.... those activities are outside, and you are inside...
