For those who are using meetup.com, try to look for Japanese International Meetup. They organized day tours and sometimes 1-two days tour in English. Been to a few meetup and its pretty fun with a mixture of international and japanese people.

Sadly, JTB one - they don't have for Malaysia.

Lawson sells them online via Ghibli site these days:

Bought mine last year from the site, otherwise I'm pretty sure I'll have to miss again!

Guys, wanna ask. Im going to Tokyo on Raya time, 23/6 to 2/7. Im planning to go see Mount Fuji for 1 whole day. My question is, if I purchase 3days JR Wide Pass, is there anywhere worth to go using that pass for next 2 days? The place that a bit far from Tokyo if can. Or I shouldn't buy the pass? Thank you.

Typically late March to early April.  Some place may carry on to mid-April.  It depends on the weather that year.  This year sakura bloomed a bit later.

You can see the chart of sakura locations for 2017 ...

Depends what you like and in the JR wide pass they have also give you some examples or where you can go with the pass. Just look and see what fancies you. If you like nature or shopping, you can go to Karuizawa, Izu is also nice as well.

Best to standby on the first day, at 9am when they open up for Sale. Friends were telling me there are scalpers and ticket hoarders as well. I was only 10min late to the site and all 10am entry tickets for first 2 weeks were sold off ohmy.gif

make sure u refuel ur car to full tank whenever is possible

there is a time i traveled from ashikawa to sapporo,
my fuel meter keep on blinking red light...
and the best part... there is no petrol station in sight

lucky it still can run another ~80km
after that i quickly exit to nearest town sweat.gif

the worst part, there is no petrol station there also
i hv to travel to another side of the town after asking around

at that moment i realized, japan hv very few petrol stations doh.gif

Hi lucaswjk,

Do we really need international driving permit as converted at JPJ @ RM150 to drive in Japan? Can we use the latest driving license there?
