This is for increase of broadband coverage and adoption.
Nothing about the increase of broadband speed at the same price.
My guess is to use WEBE to increase broadband coverage where fibre is not avaiable. RM79 for unlimited data and calls..

not really, "subject to technical availability". They already did the upgrade this year rom 5mbps to 10mbps. My guess is the upgrade will require a little $ add on

The slide clearly mention:
Unifi ---> Speed
Streamyx ---> Value

Guess it is time for me to terminate my streamyx at secondary house? But that place doesn't have unifi.....sigh.....

so we gonna know that 10Mbps downstream will be the minimum speed for FTTH.
5 to 10
10 to 30 ?
20 to 30
30 to 50
50 to 100
100 stay forever alone.

Currently, i'm using Unifi 5Mbps for RM119 after getting discount RM30 at TM Point. They claimed that this discount equivalent as Staff Price.

Then, I saw advertisement in FB Unifi 30Mbps for just RM179 discount RM20. Promotion until end of October.

After Budget 2017 announcement, these bring me to a doubt whether I have to change the subscription right now or just wait until next year.

guys, please advice.

I wonder if VDSL2 in apartment can support speed up to 50mbps or 100mbps. I thought that is the limit for VDSL2 already.
*
50Mbps are still possible if the copper wire is still in fantastic condition. 100Mbps definitely not.

so 50mbps and 100mbps may not be offered to some apartments which gets unifi through VDSL2?

I had experience with 10mbps/10mbps (VIP10) on VDSL2 few years ago, the download speed was about 10mbps but the upload speed struggled at 6-7 mbps.

I wonder what is the upload speed max for VDSL2?

So KPKT should pushes management to upgrade all existing copper wire to fiber. We can't always stay behind of technology.
Theoretical maximum for VDSL2 should be 100Mbps both side so if you are getting poor upload speed, might be the copper is in bad condition.

The details of the upgrade plan is not available yet to the public. It's also uncertain if you will be tied to contract if you upgrade now.

My advice - wait and see.

Devices (include STB) out of warranty, if replaced you will be subjected to NEW 2 year contract. If within warranty period , there willl be no extended on renewed 2 year contract.

Is it true that the promo package RM179 only applies for two years. After that TM would charge RM199 again?
