Unlikely they will switch to 199 after two years. Nobody knows what will happen by then, just take first. See, like now suddenly our PM announced same price double speed.

was wondering regarding the free upgrade due to budget 2017
from VIP 5 to VIP 10 (free by TM due to loyalty for them for certain period)
so I wondering will I jump to VIP 30 since now I am paying VIP 5 price but TM give me VIP 10 speed

guys, is 30mbps unifi plan rm199 or rm179? went to tmpoint and some reseller/agent shop, both stated that they dont offer rm179 or rm179 is only for existing customer?

Fat hope. TM doesn't have customer loyalty in their dictionary. I remember when they just started rolling out Advance packages, customers were charged with the rate of RM 199 and RM 249. Months later they roll out new packages RM 20 cheaper. It's only until when people start complaining to MCMC only then they decided to reduce prices for existing subscribers.

Point is monopoly does not lead to efficiency. If not because of government's incentive and push, we're probably still in Streamyx today.

Probably will upgrade to Advance 50. Hopefully...


I'm now at Bangkok. Speed in my room is 25Mbps upload and download. Altogether 22 floors with each floor has 30 rooms. I'm impressed.

Yeah, gonna apply soon. I asked this afternoon if I could get the promo RM179 price via dialing 100 and the staff said yes. I told her I had to discuss with my dad before applying. After that I called 100 again and the staff said the promo price is over and now they are offering at RM199.

So fast? Try another staff tomorrow.

I talked to 3 staffs and all said they are offering at RM199. I'm not sure if the first staff I talked to was sure she could get the RM179 package for me. Fortunately, I told her to call me tomorrow after I discussed with my father. Hope she would call me soon xD

Only drawback, advance 30 folks getting 50 only. Others are all double 2x.

I already find 30mb a bit overkill. 50 too much. But that's me.

"retail non promotion" price is rm199. But check whether are you getting currently a rm20 discount?

If yes, easier path for you to request for the same to be applied.

Next up is good paymaster. Contract coming up soon (not sure nearing contract ends mean to TM, but I guess anything <3-4 months). They might be able to do something.

Just call 100, say you would like the marketing department to call back. Interested with package rm179 for unifi package cause saying someone offered that. They will do a callback.

Same here. It was down around the same time as well

Still worry paying RM249 for VIP20, ended up getting 50Mbps after free upgrade while the current 50Mbps users paying the same and get 100Mbps after upgrade.
But then, I don't wanna get locked up into 24months of contract again. You'll never know VQ comes in end of this year also.

and all of these only for existing one.Good luck TM in deciding ! Jibby really screwed their plan offering which is good for us.

if u are landed, i think no problem la (maybe need to switch equipment if really necessary). after-all, fiber can easily support up to 1Gbps
