I also noticed, my pc network adapter now also identified as " TMnet (IntelĀ® 82579V Gigabit MY) instead of "IntelĀ® 82579V Gigabit"
Why suddenly got "TMnet" and "MY" at the end

As of today, I have now 'officially' join fruitie's "28Mbps Club" Dont know what happen..last week my unifi down for about 30 minutes, then when service is restored My unifi download speed can only max at 28Mb compared to 33-35Mbps previously . Seems that is the norm now

QUOTE(masashi89 @ Oct 15 2016, 12:41 AM) Hi, guys idk if here the right thread to ask, if not please let me know where to ask. I have the same adapter once. Using it for my daughter's PC in her room upstairs and after a while also have same disconnection issues even though I'm using Asusu N66U router which is situated on groundfloor. So i upgraded to TP-Link Wireless N150 High Power USB Adapter and so far no more low signal or disconnecting issuesOkay currently im using TP-LINK Router which is TL-WR842N so, my PC(using TP-LINK Adapter TL-WN821N) is upstairs while my Router downstairs, i keep getting low signal and some random disconection while on9. So my question, is it my router problem or my adapter?should i just get a High Gain Wireless USB adapter or just get a new Router? Thanks. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by ad2000: Oct 15 2016, 03:16 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 16 2016, 09:35 PM) Gotta go to TM Point to request for relocation... I already predicted there will be a transition period where I will not have Internet. Yes..unplug everything and make sure every each one component is not left behind. When I relocated last year, I was also advised to bring all the equipment to my new location, keep it and hand it over to the installer once they come to reconnect your unifiJust wondering, can I unplug everything and bring it to my new place? I will also check with the staff in TM Point regarding this. ** you can detach the white cable from wall socket to BTU..if installer do not ask for it, just keep it , let them instal new one..the old one can keep as spare This post has been edited by ad2000: Oct 17 2016, 10:20 AM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 22 2016, 11:06 AM) I was saying the implementation of FUP. I know it was mentioned in VIP plans but didn't implement until today. Luckily Advance plans have no FUP mentioned anywhere. Last room, you mean your room facing back lane right? Normally the fiber terminal box is located behind house.. Mine, they didnt go through the ceiling Just drill a small hole tru the wal. I cover the hole with Polyfilla plaster bought from DIY shop..in fact two walls drilled actually By the way, regarding relocation. I'm now staying in the second room (total 4 rooms) and TM actually pulled the cable to my room. For my new place, I will be staying at the last room, assuming if I'm willing to pay for the cabling, will they still pull it over or any criteria must be fulfilled? Like the condition of the ceiling? It's the same type of ceiling in my current room. This post has been edited by ad2000: Oct 22 2016, 05:36 PM |

QUOTE(westlife @ Oct 22 2016, 05:42 PM) Tm can install the unifi equipments at any place u want actually. Just that if it exceeds the limit of the maximum length of cable (free), u need to pay for the extra, and also any additional work than the normal installation provides. yup..mine doesnt cost anything (except for the polyfilla plaster) as it is within the cable length provided |

QUOTE(Lineage @ Oct 24 2016, 03:11 PM) Guys, Devices (include STB) out of warranty, if replaced you will be subjected to NEW 2 year contract. If within warranty period , there willl be no extended on renewed 2 year contract.Would like to check with you all 1 thing..my friend just told me, if device out of warranty, TM can replace for free, but contract will be renew for another 2 years? is that true? New policy? or the CS dumb dumb provide wrong info? I just replaced my modem, router, IPTV box, TM also no mention anything to me..i'm sure my contract still the same.. |

QUOTE(dr_zoidberg @ Nov 3 2016, 09:57 AM) Damn, I hope they can get to fix that problem soon! You can keep calling TM to expand the boxes too. I blame TM for this..no co-ordination between related departments. They should have determine first the demand and supply thoroughly. My house, the TM box is right behind , I can see there are about 20 ports but only 8 are used..four house across, there is another box..what a wasteMe and the other ppl in our residence still have to make do with the wireless data connection. Wished they had installed the infrastructure earlier! |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 5 2016, 12:38 PM) I think I kena tipu already when I installed my UniFi 2 years back. i think i did asked you from past post why did you paid..Hopefully on your next relocation installation, you'll be wiserI think mine is Full Fibre and they said counted from the pole. I need to be cautious later when I do relocation. So, the 15m is from where they drill my ceiling ya.. Do you know where can I find this information? I wanna save and show to them. 2014 I'm still noob in UniFi and forgot to ask in this thread. |

Mine drilled through TWO walls from back room to 1st floor hall...F.O.C. they even did a very neat job installing those plastic wire casing thingy to conceal the fibre cable all the way from walls at both ends of the bedroom. (ah well..that was two years ago)

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 27 2016, 11:59 AM) Installer just came at 11.30, already called me this morning to confirm on my schedule. He is doing the stuff now and it is quite challenging for this house as almost whole house is tiled. Luckily can use ceiling else I cannot install UniFi at all. As much as I want you to still be in our 28Mbp club, I do hope new location and installation..you will rediscover back the feeling of enjoying 33-35Mbp sensation RM 170 only, I'm more than happy to pay. |
