Hey guys. I read through some news from the taiwan forums. Just want to tell you that other than Australia and FAA, Note 7 is also banned in Taiwan flights. Please take note.

Never though I'd see the day where a personal item such as a phone is banned from entering a commercial flight

Is it so far confirmed that explosions only happen while charging or when the phone is running hot (gaming etc) or can it explode randomly? If it is the first scenario, it is still a mitigateable risk but if it is the 2nd... Samsung should just issue an urgent and immediate recall

Please clarify , Samsung

In most cases, the explosions happened during charging. In other cases, it exploded even when it was on idle, where the phone was left untouched.

I think note 7 gonna be a failure in sales due to all this negativity. Samsung not gonna get the same amount sales as the previous sales as this problem have already gone too widespread.

If thing doesn't go well the note 7 will have a short lifespan and note 8 may pop out earlier.

I decide not buying Note7 anymore.

Reason simply, 2nd batch is possible new but 3rd batch possible is return unit from first batch and reconstruct.

Anyhow the main reason is this Note7 will have second hand resell value and also I already decide to get my first ever iOS phone. Oops.

Time to said bye bye to Note7, now really thanks God I fail login during preorder time.

No matter what, I have stopped using my N7 let alone bring it along on a flight. You are not only risking your life, you are risking the life of others too. Im not sure if security offers will know how to check if your Samsung is a note 7 though... laugh.gif

I think he not sure. But everyone know NOTE7 got problem. Who will buy Note7? I think probably no one. You never know which explosive Note 7 you get since some didn't plan to exchange it. For 2nd hand. So really 2nd hand note 7 is probably 0 value. Not worth risking your life and family life.
