QUOTE(RafaBenites @ Sep 6 2016, 11:09 PM) OHH for feck's sake!! Come on la people.. Stop all this scaring tactics sh*t! While the whole battery situation is pretty serious, what's the point of showing all these pictures which in reality might not be related to the Note7?? And you guys really believe every single news that they publish on the Internet?? So instead of having constructive discussions about the device, the whole thread has become a channel to scared the sh*t out of each other? The battery exploit is serious issue, Samsung is recalling all, beside this, really nothing much to discuss already for the moment. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Sep 7 2016, 10:21 PM) These are the most reasonable comments so far. You guys are right, people here are more concerned on what will happen to their expensive screen protector or body wrap applied, their expensive backcover and their 1 year lcd warranty. Isnt the safety and wellbeing of our ownself the main priority when such issues crop up? Tbh, my note 7 has been lying in my drawer since Samsung announced a recall. I would not want to risk myself or my family just because I paid rm3k for it. Morever, Samsung has already announced a recall and possibly a refund which I think is fair enough. Absolutely correct and agree! |

QUOTE(shinobikit @ Sep 7 2016, 10:41 PM) Some rich ppl switch phone like switching fashion clothes. You rather sacrificed your life? then continue use your Note7. But for middle income ppl income like us, eat roti and save few months still can afford 3k phone, but expectation different, the one and only phone. For rich people different, oh.. note 7 got time bomb issue, then i keep in drawer and use my note 5 or iphone 6s first... the hell.. i only a 4 years old note 2! If it sudden exploded inside your pants, then don't blame anyone. The phone already being in risk level and calling back in progress. It is wise keep it aside until get replace rather than continue using it as of now. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Sep 7 2016, 11:38 PM |

QUOTE(shinobikit @ Sep 7 2016, 11:43 PM) that's why we want fast and proper action from samsung and its pre-order to lay out the exchange mechanism... all parties also not properly communicated... somemore exploding is a serious issue, all parties like berlengah lengah take their own sweet time, treating customer like idiot..... it is not only one, two unit to replace. i also want to keep it aside, but what u want me to do? i dont have spare phone anymore... are u telling me to spend another hundreds to buy a spare phone use for one month while putting note7 in drawer? come on, not all ppl rich like someone having multiple phones. It also needs time to produce units for entire replacement and after this incident, more QC needs to involved. If Samsung rush again and again issue happen, then it is a big issue. Production needs time. it can't be straight said replace then replace. People advise you but then your respond you are not as rich as others, people is rich? This is something beyond and you not appreciate at all. You can try ask around your friends, families, surely somebody had old unused phone, does not means must go and buy another unit for temporary usage. QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 8 2016, 09:25 AM) not bad actually... not a fan but i have to say... specs wise and pricing... it's good. It is not perfect but enough impress me to consider. esepcially the plus and 128GB. so close to note7 pricing (in USA). and, there's water resistance now. front cam also pwn Note7. those who are not picky abt OS can actually consider iphone7. only thing i dun quite like is the note headphone jack. got adaptor... but... troublesome. if they wanna go wireless, go all out la... do wireless charging too and be first phone without any ports. |

I decide not buying Note7 anymore.
Reason simply, 2nd batch is possible new but 3rd batch possible is return unit from first batch and reconstruct. Anyhow the main reason is this Note7 will have second hand resell value and also I already decide to get my first ever iOS phone. Oops. Time to said bye bye to Note7, now really thanks God I fail login during preorder time. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Sep 10 2016, 01:08 PM |

Disable the phone by how? Blacklisted the IMEI?
If got others method later sure raise another issue, means Samsung can anytime access your phone without your knowing. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Sep 12 2016, 10:11 PM |

QUOTE(WyjSwmW @ Sep 13 2016, 08:39 AM) Remember you need to login to your Samsung account? Ya I know that, but executed is another meaning already. Anyway Samsung already denied will doing such. They have full info on your device completely. I guess Samsung already has full control of your device since day one just that they won't admit it. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 13 2016, 10:15 AM) I think there is logic behind. Ya I agree, this is the better safer way and easier to identify. The problematic battery is from Samsung. I am sure same technology battery is used in every Samsung phone. So the tendency for a Samsung phone to caught fire is higher than other phone. QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Sep 13 2016, 10:28 AM) Actually beside this 70% Note7 using SLI battery, they is also some units of S7 Edge using it. |

QUOTE(chaosneo @ Sep 13 2016, 01:11 PM) is there a posibility that the replacement note7 have been directed for sale at the roadshow first thus the delay till 29th for the replacements? I believe the road show is cancel already, Samsung shall not start selling before settle the replacement.i think SG and MY is not too far and surely if one have stocks, the other sure to have. |
