QUOTE(monked @ Sep 11 2016, 10:41 AM) great question. but you don't expect to drive a ferrari without paying for the initial price. no? nonetheless, is good for samsung is remotely shutting down the phone, i wonder what will SME react then, no backup phones and feedback. |

QUOTE(MsiaqweR @ Sep 11 2016, 08:33 AM) You may consider other high end flagships Thanks for recommendations, I might have to look on those but yeah no chinese phones for me .. In my job, I do kinds like support jobs so I take photos and "annotate" with S-Pen alot (hence also need big batteries) and I prefer big screen ... so Note is kinda like perfect for me ... I never thought about others ... aiii ... All I know is got another Samsung phone with super huge battery ... I might do some research on that ...LG - LG V20 HTC - HTC 10 Sony - Sony XZ I won't recommend Chinese branded phones like Huawei and Xiaomi due to their UI too resemblance of iPhone which you said you dont like |

[Latest update on Galaxy Note7] As customers' safety is our utmost priority, Samsung Malaysia Electronics wishes to urge owners of the Galaxy Note7 in Malaysia to power down their unit and return it to Samsung in exchange for a new one. As announced via a notice last week, a new batch of replacement units will be made available beginning 29th September 2016 onwards. We are working around the clock to ensure the replacement program is as convenient as possible and in compliance with related regulations. Customers are encouraged to contact the Samsung Malaysia Careline at 1800-88-7799 for further assistance. Thank you for your understanding and patience. EDIT : so we have to power down now This post has been edited by diners: Sep 11 2016, 11:54 AM |

So far, it has the largest battery capacity in Samsung phone line up, which is 5000mah and 6 inch screen. The only downsides with this phone is the average camera, no S Pen and it's quite heavy. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Sep 11 2016, 11:17 AM) Yup I did, yesterday. The CS updated to their system my contact details plus personal details. Collection is from the place you have collected your preorder. YES will call again when nearer to collection date. As in any screen protector or screen crack protection like what being mentioned by others, YES has no info for that at the moment, they only aware of 1to1 exchange. |

Giving my a S7edge may be good, but at the same time, I need to take care of it before I give it back to Samsung. Need to pray hard on this. if the S7 edge got any damage during the waiting period, mati lo. So I rather be patience and use a budget phone. It's not that I need to wait for a long time to get back Note 7 anyway... |

samsung...samsung...you ask to powerdown and return phone and nego for loaner phones. but only cater for those 4k phones sold direct. what about the other 4k phones sold thru your partners?
if you really care about consumer safety, you should just make things simple, all returns and exchange and loan phone just go thru your samsung centers. you already have the IMEI database for all n7 and can easily check if those are SME phones. just urgently carry out the recall exercise then you can slowly belakang kira with your partners. with your database it is no issue to identify which phone sold thru who. as it is now every partner have different process...and very unlikely they can offer loaner phones to those who need it. if anything happen what will you do? just point that u already ask everyone to power down so can wash your hands already? |
