First time I heard a widespread issue of a particular phone is burning or exploding. Admittedly, there are cases where phones caught on fire or exploded but it is not as widespread as this.

Next gen iPhone is launching very soon. Sometime competition bring bad too.

Apple better be coming up with something really revolutionary like the Note 7, if not... it will be  curtains for them. Looking at the current leaks, I dont see any for now.

esepcially the plus and 128GB. so close to note7 pricing (in USA). and, there's water resistance now. front cam also pwn Note7. those who are not picky abt OS can actually consider iphone7.

only thing i dun quite like is the note headphone jack. got adaptor... but... troublesome. if they wanna go wireless, go all out la... do wireless charging too and be first phone without any ports.

Received call from Maxis just now..

- need to return device between 9 - 23 sept to secure 29 sept device. if later than that replacement will be after 29th

- will be given rebate 1 month rebate for zerolution fee

Me, I use S Pen and water resistant(If available) almost daily. In fact, without S Pen on my Mate 8 is just suffering as a student and editor. A lot of your statements are opinion other than the software and speaker, but in terms of raw features, Note 7 is indeed a better phone compared to HTC 10, but in the end, it still comes down to user preference.

Apple turned many ppl here become Samsung haters with iPhone 7, good job Apple!

Before this all praised about Note 7, now suddenly most of the ppl talk about how they dont like this phone

Hi guys, let's say I m interested to buy note 7, does it mean I have to wait until or after 29 Sept then only buy it for the 2nd batch which won't explode anymore?

Now having headache how to transfer data in the phone. I got only one phone. Don't know how long it'll take to transfer everything 😯

I decide not buying Note7 anymore.

Reason simply, 2nd batch is possible new but 3rd batch possible is return unit from first batch and reconstruct.

Anyhow the main reason is this Note7 will have second hand resell value and also I already decide to get my first ever iOS phone. Oops.

Time to said bye bye to Note7, now really thanks God I fail login during preorder time.

Thanks for recommendations, I might have to look on those but yeah no chinese phones for me .. In my job, I do kinds like support jobs so I take photos and "annotate" with S-Pen alot (hence also need big batteries) and I prefer big screen ... so Note is kinda like perfect for me ... I never thought about others ... aiii ... All I know is got another Samsung phone with super huge battery ... I might do some research on that ...

As customers' safety is our utmost priority, Samsung Malaysia Electronics wishes to urge owners of the Galaxy Note7 in Malaysia to power down their unit and return it to Samsung in exchange for a new one.
As announced via a notice last week, a new batch of replacement units will be made available beginning 29th September 2016 onwards.
We are working around the clock to ensure the replacement program is as convenient as possible and in compliance with related regulations.
Customers are encouraged to contact the Samsung Malaysia Careline at 1800-88-7799 for further assistance. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

I'm not sure expect too much. Or perhaps due to other countries received better treatment thus lead this. Some people rant of Facebook about compensation. Its good if Samsung can give but even cars manufacturer when recall like airbag stuff don't give loan car or the most rm50 for the day the car stuck in workshop.
Some people can buy expensive screen protector (clear coat) and expensive casing (above >100), why not just get a cheap phone for temporary (if Samsung unable to loan out phones, although some news I read they able to give s6e or J7)

Anyway hope this will be good lesson for Samsung also. Hoho

Recently I just asked about phone loan if I don't have any spare phone on FB. Samsung SC Seremban just called me around 5 pm and asked me to bring the Note7 phone and they will keep the phone until 29th. And at 29, come back and return the loan phone.
The give me a Note5 Pink. Felt so weird becuse already used a Note5 before.
Now feel much more safer.

It's possible. But most likely not at the early stage. If they launch it with lower price, the buyers who pre-order the phone in August will bising.

The price of the "new" Note 7 will definitely drop after few months later. Or may be it willl drop much faster than our expectation. Afterall, Note 7 value is affected by the battery gate. Its value won't be strong compared to the past generations. No doubt about that.

If Samsung decide to reduce the price when Note 7 comes back to Malaysia, then happy lo. We still can hope right?

I can't agree with you more, since I myself is already a Note 5 user. I definitely will go see and touch the phone myself once it launches in Malaysia. Although I am quite dissapointed with the incident, I still hope that Samsung will fix all the issues and comes back asap. Rebranding the name, or changing the specs, or whatever. Just hope that Samsung will hold on be strong enough on this. And Samsung please~~ Don't forget to bring in the blue coral version! 

Too far lah bro. The nearest place to my area is Sunway roadshow, and that will take me 1 & a half hour to get there. I thought I can wait until it launches in Sept officially. Mana tau the battery gate came out pulak.
