i can't help to say this, i truly understood the frust that pre-owner has, trust me, and i'm one of them, but come on, no point ranting, for real. if you don't have a spare phone, then just use it, like me, i'm using as per normal, but of course with more cautious especially on the temperature side.
i don't get it, you keep bashing, what will you get in the end? you don't prefer the note7, if samsung decides not to fully refund, then get yours and resell it all you want, if you can get the refund good for you. you got no choice to face the deppreciation because you decide so, if you can't afford it, just use it till you can afford it.

QUOTE(eagleknight @ Sep 8 2016, 08:56 AM) I will using it as my daily phone till 29/9 and go for replacement, no spare phone no choice. If they disagree then just F them...... wait, are they forcing us to return? i didnt knew that, if they're able to provide a spare phone, i think is ok. win-win situation.

QUOTE(edan1979 @ Sep 8 2016, 09:07 AM) samsung should learn from this mistake... never rush things again... last time... the device is fully ready 1 or 2 month after they announce it. we usually officially get the phone on october. never got any of this kind of mishap. this time they really rush the production. one of the best note are note 2, and it recall it got launched here on october. and it was great phone.

i realized that the most reliable news in regards to explosion is recently the aussie explosion on the hotel, but it was neglected as he overcharge it overnight. my 2 cents observation, so far malaysia no cases as of yet, as most of us are aware on how to minimize the risk such as charging it with attention, disable fast charging and all.
how concrete is the jeep explosion and the garage news explosion? i mean like come on, how come he left the phone charge at the garage unattended without people at home. sounds fishy.

explosion case in australia = unattended explosion case in jeep = unattended
yes, somehow we bought a flagship we should be able to leave it unattended. but given situation like such, charging with our presence, on and off should be fine, and everyone knows the dangerous of charging while sleeping / using phone inside car. be it note 7 case or other phones.

QUOTE(RafaBenites @ Sep 9 2016, 10:36 AM) I kinda disagree with that statement. Unless you feel sudden increase in temperature, I don't think the Note7 will randomly caught fire or explode. If check the facts behind all the explosions that has been reported, all of them have some thing in common: they all charge the phone, and just leave it there. So if you are so scared of exploding phone, don't freaking leave the phone to charge and walk away!! same here, so far the phone resides at around 28c i dont think it will explode right away, there must be a rise on temperature till intolerable manner to ignore, then only will explode. even that, samsung also didnt bother to give me a call, to surrender the phone nor on collecting the spare phone. so yeah.

QUOTE(jrrsim @ Sep 9 2016, 11:10 AM) QUOTE(theverge) why-do-phone-batteries-explode-samsung-galaxy-note-7BATTERIES CAN FAIL WHEN THEY’RE CHARGED TOO MUCH OR TOO FAST As I have noted before, ways to protect yourselves are: 1. Charge your phone to ONLY 90% 2. Trickle charge your phone (avoid fast charging, use 5V 0.5A-1A) what i have done so far is, leave fast charging on, always unplugged when it 100% rightaway or not too long, the temp is way much lower, from my observation, when you charge the phone approx around 60% it will heat up to 40celcius, although is considered safe as other forumer, just my 2cents of safety precaution.

QUOTE(monked @ Sep 11 2016, 10:41 AM) What if someone really appreciate note 7 but no money, would you consider them as lowballer? great question. but you don't expect to drive a ferrari without paying for the initial price. no? nonetheless, is good for samsung is remotely shutting down the phone, i wonder what will SME react then, no backup phones and feedback.
