QUOTE(elchico @ Sep 20 2016, 05:23 PM) It goes by bills... Lets say you have 3 great eastern policy, it is still 3 bills... Btw, paying OCBC CC using online transfer, is also consider 1 transaction... But it doesn't go by IPP... in case 1 bill is split into 12 months, it is only calculated as 1 bill in the first month... But for my own convenience... i make it auto-billing RM5 for each month, for my tel bills, my utility bills, etc... just set it auto-billing in the online web, so that it will auto make payment a fixed amount on the 1st of every month... Don't need to go remember to pay online on every month. Oic.. Thanks for the great tips. RM5 Auto billing is set at Ocbc website?

Sorry for being off-topic. I know this is not directly related to FD but I would just like to share this news about the cancer-stricken uncle selling Pokemon outside HSBC in Damansara Uptown. LinkIf you happen to be near that area doing your FDs or other banking transactions, maybe can help him out by buying toys from him. You can keep the toys yourself or gift it to your friends or family. You might even present it as a gift to bank staff for thanking them for their help. Hahaha. It would help the uncle and good for your karma too. Then maybe can get very good FD promos later on. Btw, I am not affiliated with the uncle in any way.

Last time took about 3 months just to close the account because maybank website have some bugs which they didn't fix. For placing eGIA-i, open your account > Fixed Deposits & Mudarabah IA > Make a placement > Select General Investment Account-i > Answer the "license agreement" for first placement only- make sure to select the one where principal and returns are not protected > Continue/Next. Hope that helps.

Went in to see AmBank RM. Wonder why they only call me now to join their PB. Heard lack of RM and she just joined and will be stationed at the branch. Only got this as gift:
Talked about investment, DCI and the FD rate that she can get for PB customer. Said for <200k, can typically get 0.15% to 0.2% more. Well above 200k, can get >0.2%. BUT, only for board rate. Currently AmBank no FD promo. Went to HL to activate their new PB card. Was told their OTC promo: 6 mth 3.9% for new fund 6 mth 3.8% for old fund Best is still their eFD of 12 mth 3.95%.

For those who want to earn >4%. A little fight to see who's the best. Below is Maybank eGIA-i (save RM2k) + Maybank Ikhwan card (spending of RM1k/month) vs OCBC 360 full 4.1%(save RM2k) + any OCBC CC (spending of RM1k/month) - - - - - - - - - - - - - The reason for no CB is OCBC CB is particularly zero. Saw this in Gen-X's Facebook: UOB Bank is offering 4% Straight Forward FD Promo for 12 months without any stupid CASA condition. To be eligible for this promo, you got to deposit minimum RM100K fresh fund. UOB is still offering 3.95% for 12 months FD tenure with minimum deposit of RM10K. https://www.facebook.com/GenXGenYGenZ/But the 6 mths HL's FD should be 3.9% as I mentioned yesterday. It was shown as 3.95% in his Facebook.

QUOTE(ycs @ Sep 23 2016, 01:22 PM) further down, he says he already has a CASA a/c, so CASA is required after all I have ignored on this CASA requirement as I already has SA with UOB. The 4% is good as I have even plan to go for it around 4/10 when the offer was 3.95%. So the 0.05% extra is even sweeter.
