Prior going to Affin this morning, called to OCBC and UOB.

OCBC FD promo 9 mths 3.75% conventional, islamic one 3.8%

UOB FD promo 7 mths 3.85%, 12 mths 3.95%

So UOB FD promo better than OCBC. biggrin.gif

Affin 4.33% FD matured today.

Renewed to 4.05% 15 mth FD by topping up amt. Their requirement:

<100k, 10%. >100k 20% of matured FD amt.

Earlier one of my relative has >100k FD matured, refused to top up the 20%. Affin called to HQ to waive it, just top up 5k. Nego, yeh !  biggrin.gif

Mine also 4.33%, today renewed to the 4.05%.

Funny thing is if want the package 2, have to wait till debit card approved before can get the 4.15% rate. So let it go. biggrin.gif

I performed instant transfer from my UOB CASA to my CIMB CASA, and on the same day, transferred back to UOB CASA. Will UOB recognize this as a fresh fund? Any confirmation will be appreciated. Thanks

I have FDs maturing in Oct but I feel like withdrawing now in Sept and put it into RHB and lock it at 4% for another 12 mths. Does it make sense to do this?

depends on amount, how much loss of interest, fd duration placed?
