Not sure about the required weekly mileage for training.
I've done more than 10 FMs but my weekly mileage was never more than 40KM except for the race week. Rarely touched 30KM too.  sweat.gif
My PB was 4:18 and i was still holding back a little bit at that time.
*
I did not do sub4 like you la, but my training for my FM also is not as powerful as the rest here sweat.gif
I manage to sub5, and personally (and this is a personal opinion) all I did was make sure I train for endurance. FM is an endurance test. You maintain a pace of 7mins per km in your training, then you should be able to do sub5. And my training is usually between 8-10km, 3 times a week (on lazy weeks, only twice haha).

But nowadays I don't run FM anymore. I cannot take the never-ending tarmac cry.gif

if you comfortable stick at pace 6:20mins/km for 20~25km most likely sub5 FM is confirmed as 6:20mins pace is 4:30hrs FM but anything beyond 30km is still unknown due to fitness

Thanks. Valuable info

I still unable to do sub4 yet but should be doable next year. (hopefully)
Maintaining at 7min per km is about discipline and self control, i did my 1st sub 5 2 years ago, maintaining at 7 min pace from KM1 till finish. Holding the urge to run faster at the beginning to prevent burn out later.

Nowadays, I prefer trail more than road... brows.gif

Oh, okay. I thought you're staying in either of those areas.

How's the running track in your place ? Which spot can I go for a run over there ?

That just too fast for sub 5. Maybe you target much lower then that. The 1st km tells you are in the front of the line.

I always have trouble to get front spot on the start line causing lot of lose time. Not dare to go to the front as im slow. 10k pb barely sub 50 min

Just bought a pair of the new Asics Fuzex Rush a couple of weeks ago and it's safe to say that it is a superb running shoes. I'm lovin' it !  rclxm9.gif

I wore Puma before and it doesn't give enough comfort and protection to the inside of the foot.

Nice shoe. May i know what puma's model you wore before?

Thinking of getting the speed 500 ignite in 1 of my rotation as it really cheap to get now. I need a slightly lighter shoe, would you recommend?

I wore Puma Faas 300 V3 before. The Speed 500 Ignite is not bad too. I saw the red and black one and the price is RM2++ in Al-Ikhsan.

I wear Asics now. It's slightly expensive but it's worth it. It's extremely comfortable and I'm loving it.

Are you currently wearing Puma running shoes ?

They said Asics are the best running shoes.

I think it's already proven. thumbup.gif

According to this site RunRepeat, shoes with the top run scores are from Adidas, Brooks, UA, Nike and Ultra.
That is all from experts and customer's feedbacks though.

I don't trust their shoe score.

Just look at the shoes listed. It's a joke..
