QUOTE(lybdh @ Nov 6 2017, 04:42 PM) i ran 21k, i target to finish in 2h30m. i was running on target pace of 7min/km up to 18km then pancit.. it was a mad chase to the finish line.. sadly didn't achieve my goal..finished in 2h32m..huhu Wow. That's quite an achievement bro. I never run such distance. The farthest I can run is 15 km. Nevertheless, congratulations and best of luck for your future runs.

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Nov 6 2017, 03:28 PM) if you wanna train for FM, LSD is a must .. longer the better (in term of training hours.) I am doing LSD, but wanted to add some elevation to my routine. Mostly just running on flat ground QUOTE(lybdh @ Nov 6 2017, 04:16 PM) i ran putrajaya nite run last saturday..yeah..there a couple of flyovers and small hills, i see other runners huffing and puffing up the hill.. no thanks..i walk up the hills..and then..sprint downhill..lol that's how i tackle hills Me too, i run Putrajaya Night Marathon for my first FM. Hi all, i am a beginner runner 5k 2-3/weekdays and 10k/long run weekend. Training for HM next year. I cycle 20k for 2/week. Taking full rest days Mon and Thursdays (fasting).
Currently using a xiaomi sports bt headphones with a nokia 3310 for music and emergency purposes. I use a feature phone for outdoors activity since a previous smart phone fell in river (with its master) during jungle trekking.
I am bored with the nokia 3310 and looking to upgrade to possibly a lighter feature phone with mp3, bt, and microsd. I need it to be small, light, able to withstand sweat (sweaty tight pockets) and some splashes due to rain. My smart phone is an LG G6, which I seldom bring out for sports.
Any recommended feature phones? Thanks in advance.

QUOTE(lybdh @ Nov 6 2017, 04:03 PM) i read in internet, LSD more than 3 hours is not advisable as it bring more chance to injury.. is it true? see, i oso training for FM..if i just do 2 days training per week - 1 hr midweek stairs/speed run & 3 hr weekend LSD, is it enuff? aiming for 2018 standchart KL marathon..hopefully finish sub-6hr? for me train longer hours also will train the muscle to endure long running period, but of cause basic weekdays mileage must build up before you can attempt on the LSD FM you need more than 40km per week , so you have some idea how to put into your weekly training.

Hello guys. Would like to ask about lightweight shoes for tempo speed training. Has anyone wear Hoka Tracer before? Is it a good investment or i should look for other brand & model instead?
All my current shoes are heavy shoes mainly use to log mile. Now i wanted to lower my fm time, thinking to invest in something that more suitable for a bit of speed training

It's around the calf muscle to ankle. It's worst upon waking up but goes away during the day

Do you think the kinvara 8 is a good rotation for speed training or go for launch 4? for me Kinvara 8 was good at everything for training or into marathons .. price tag is pocket friendly, if you still able to get on kinvara 7 price might be interesting to own a pair launch series was bit too stiff at the toe box area but shoe sole are lasting compared to kinvara 8

I have been out from running almost a year last time just because of this. Now I have been more careful every time i feel something in that part. Usually I will slow down my pace, take smaller stride, and gentle landing on every run it will go away eventually without putting me out from running.
