QUOTE(zeipher @ Dec 16 2016, 01:18 AM) And there is another option to choose. The cheaper new Garmin fr35 Not for me. Never use any third party app on my FR235Will the lack of GLONASS affect the accuracy of the GPS? Also is Garmin Connect IQ that good to not miss it? GLONASS doesn't make that much of a diff either IMO |

Today I'm just realized on the cadence when I'm running...
It's average 169, with max 199... Most of time when I see my watch it's about 180 cadence... I never know cadence can be this high.... Stride length is only 0.80m comparing to my other friend 1.17m.... |

QUOTE(bigbigplace @ Dec 15 2016, 07:27 PM) Polar is back and is available at our website on www.bigbigplace.com, meanwhile, for those that bought from AC and have difficulties repairing, why not contact us and we'll try to help sort out (for free of cause). How to get the 10% off for 1st purchase in the website? Vivoactive touches surface of everything but not in depth where as FR235 are focused on running. Some customer bought it for their bike training too. side note, we're offering 10% off your first purchase at bigbigplace.com |

Tuan Vin Ann,do height factor play important on the stride length? im 165cm... will my stride length improve over time as im polishing my Pose Method running technique.... Yes, to a certain extent. However, for your height that you described, the stride length can definitely be higher by 62%. Mine is 1.3meters and I consider my steps to be small but with high cadence. |

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Dec 19 2016, 02:57 PM) Yes, Looi Sir... My figures, an average runner, is as below, Glad to read this message. i shall improve my stride length over a period of time while maintaining 180 cadence... may i know how high cadence is considered as high? During race, minimum cadence is around 185 with a high of 207. Average is 194. During training, it averages 190 cadence. If you aren't training to have high cadence during training day, but only do it during races then you are inviting injury Doing Running form drills ATLEAST once a week will assist with cadence. QUOTE(SoFlush @ Dec 19 2016, 04:16 PM) Completed my first ever half marathon @ 2xu night run with 2:15! Did you took any gels / food during the run?How do you guys eat/fuel during your run? Or do you even eat during your runs? Or just strictly powergels? I think around km18 i already feel no energy... this is not a good sign if i were to attempt a 42k I'm coming from a cycling background where eating on the go is the norm, but when i tried to eat while running its just too cumbersome and impossible. |

QUOTE(SoFlush @ Dec 20 2016, 01:44 PM) Nope, but i stopped at every water stop for drinks/100+ Yes. You need to eat. You need to eat because it provides energy. Generally, the body can conduct endurance running without external energy up to 1.5 hr ~2 hr. Above this, the runner will need external energy. This external energy needs to be taken earlier, not when the time is almost at its limit. And thankfully there was one station(last?) that gave one powergel, took it, ate it. Do you need to eat during a 21k/42k run? Seems hard... |

QUOTE(SoFlush @ Dec 20 2016, 01:44 PM) Nope, but i stopped at every water stop for drinks/100+ experience from my 1st FM last month (6hr 30m). i use 6 energy gel. really help. but if got real food also better. after 4-5 hours i feel hungry. organizer provide bread but taste really bad. only after 30km i take 100+. before that just drink plain water. 100+ make my perut kembung. And thankfully there was one station(last?) that gave one powergel, took it, ate it. Do you need to eat during a 21k/42k run? Seems hard... |

QUOTE(SoFlush @ Dec 19 2016, 04:16 PM) Completed my first ever half marathon @ 2xu night run with 2:15! last time what i did in HM was take a slice of bread and water 1.5h before race. How do you guys eat/fuel during your run? Or do you even eat during your runs? Or just strictly powergels? I think around km18 i already feel no energy... this is not a good sign if i were to attempt a 42k I'm coming from a cycling background where eating on the go is the norm, but when i tried to eat while running its just too cumbersome and impossible. after that take one energy gel at 11km mark. now what i do for HM is take one or two energy gel 15-20mins before race. another energy gel at 11/15km mark, PB is 1h53m. FM i still cant find my diet pattern, PB is 4h40m. |

QUOTE(SoFlush @ Dec 20 2016, 10:25 PM) ah good to know mostly are eating energy gels for nutrition, not power bars/ricecakes etc... now i feel so stupid thinking back i was trying to open, chew, and swallow powerbar while running... You can eat gel during ur 21km LSD training. Shall try this on my next undecided, unregistered HM Indeed it's very accurate i personally can start to feel no energy @ 1:30hrs into the run... Different gels have different taste and our stomach react differently... Eat various type of gel to explore ur favourite! |
