QUOTE(afiqishak @ Nov 29 2016, 03:03 PM) PBIM result. Nett time: 6:32:00 i should start do more strength training especially on the leg. i do plank 2 times a day for 2 minutes each and i can say it really helps. hopefully sub 6 SCKLM next year. *saw some people cheat take u turn. really piss me off! well done! I did my virgin FM in PBIM this year too! I found out that strength training helps in preventing injuries and core training helps in posture and speed This post has been edited by EatMeFresh: Dec 5 2016, 12:05 AM

QUOTE(afiqishak @ Dec 5 2016, 09:39 AM) what strength training u do? go to gym? i only do plank. need to google more for no equipment strength training. I only have a pull up bar, so I do some calisthenics-based exercises, e.g. varieties of pull ups and leg raises. You can try variety of push ups, planks, crunches, and squats. No-equipment strength training is easily available online

QUOTE(SoFlush @ Dec 20 2016, 01:44 PM) Nope, but i stopped at every water stop for drinks/100+ And thankfully there was one station(last?) that gave one powergel, took it, ate it. Do you need to eat during a 21k/42k run? Seems hard... I'm not so sure about FM because I just ran my first in November. But from my HM experiences, I don't find 100+ useful for energy (too gassy and only helps in replenishing a bit of electrolytes). I do take gels during HM but depending on the course. If it is a hard course or I'm aiming to go all out for a PB, I will take gels at km10 and km15-16. A good carbo-loading helps very much especially for the first 10k to tackle it hard.

QUOTE(afiqishak @ Feb 17 2017, 04:00 PM) sockless??!! what shoes u wear? dont get any irritation or blister? I alternate between Brooks PureDrift and PureFlow 5 for road running. Merrell Bare Access Trail for trail running and OCRs. Sometimes get some chaffing from improper lacing, especially trail run and OCR, but 95% of the time got nothing (maybe the skin got thickened over the years). But all of the shoes are seamless, so there won't be any chaffing spots within the shoes
