Just called hlb cs. Apparently if we are to request for paywave card for replacement, there's no charge. But the bad thing is the current card will be blocked right away and the new card would only reach us in 2 weeks time. All is just with a one phone call.
Just now, I asked HLB CS and he told me the same thing. Since we personally request for early renewal of our WISE card (to get the Paywave function), HLB has to immediately deactivate our present WISE card.
2 weeks are needed, if our new WISE card are sent via post. About 4 working days are needed, if we can collect our new WISE card at any HLB branch.

There is something else said by the HLB CS, but we may have to take it with a pinch of salt. For those with WISE card (which is pin and pay compliant, but without Paywave function), HLB will automatically replace the card, with the WISE card (with Paywave function), before the end of this year. The difference of this method is when we let HLB replaces the card, we can still use our present WISE card, until the new card arrives.
I am very skeptical with what HLB CS said. Since my WISE card is already pin and pay compliant and complies with Bank Negara ruling, would HLB replace my WISE card to newer WISE card with Paywave function? My card's expiry date is on year 2020.

How do I know if my card is a Pin & Pay card? I got it last year's Sept. Well, if it replaces me with PayWave card then I'm OK, else without it I'm also OK. Just not sure if it will be replaced for my case.
When I received my WISE card via post around November last year, the envelope has an accompanying letter stating my credit limit, and also states that I have to set my PIN, because my card is pin and pay compliant.
