I applied for my WISE card late last year. My WISE card is pin and pay compliant, but does not have PayWave function.

Is it possible to request for a free replacement to a WISE card with PayWave function?  tongue.gif Since it is my main credit card, the PayWave function is a big help to me.

The same case as me. Let me know what hlb cs said after you call them to request.

Just called hlb cs. Apparently if we are to request for paywave card for replacement, there's no charge. But the bad thing is the current card will be blocked right away and the new card would only reach us in 2 weeks time. All is just with a one phone call.

so it's only given upon request?  blink.gif

I guess so. Unless your card is nearing its expiry and you opt to continue using it so they reissue.

Received the Visa Paywave Wise card today. Still comes with a blue envelope like Mach and Essential.

Did you request for replacement? Or was it hlb's own initiative?

I didnt request for it and the card's expiry date is on 2018, new replacement card is 2021.
*
That totally contradicts what the cs said.

Nevermind, i'd just use the current card as usual.

How do I know if my card is a Pin & Pay card? I got it last year's Sept. Well, if it replaces me with PayWave card then I'm OK, else without it I'm also OK. Just not sure if it will be replaced for my case.
*
In fact, my card was issued exactly Sep 2015 too.

Not entirely sure how the CS checked during my call, but I believe he was referring to the time frame of the card issuance. If this is the case, and mine is pin n pay enabled, so could be yours. Only lacking with the paywave feature.

Ah! I just remembered I didn't setup any passcode, I could be in big problem then. laugh.gif sweat.gif

That can be done from hlb connect according to CS.

Exact steps, I'm not too sure because I did it from the ATM last time.

my card was issued early this year, comes with paywave but no mention of pin n pay at all

Hmm. I think your card is pin n pay enabled already. Can it be paywave only?

andrekua2,

I presume that your WISE card is not pin and pay compliant. For sure, HLB will automatically replace your WISE card to the new one which is pin and pay compliant.

My WISE card is already pin and pay compliant (without Paywave function), and complies with Bank Negara ruling.

Strictly speaking, from HLB's perspective, there is no need for HLB to replace my card.
*
As I previously stated, I'd just use the current card for now. My 3 selected categories are not available to utilize the paywave function anyway. Thanks for digging out info from CS anyway.

Just a heads up guys.

Recently YES 4G portal has changed and what appeared in the payment history is different too from the past months. I will report back in the status of CB eligibility under mobile later and hope nothing changes.
*
Quoting myself back. It appears that it's still tagged as mobile in the statement, so should get cb as usual.

Any of you ever swiped at a Restaurant in a Hotel and had your dining cashback rejected? I just swiped over the weekend and upon checking my transaction, it states the name of the hotel instead of the restaurant. Will be calling tonight to confirm the Merchant Code.

In the event the Merchant Code is not dining, has anyone of you succesfully argued for it to be reversed? I still have the receipt and everything.
*
I think chances are slim to none. The bank will blame the merchant and saying that they don't have the control over mcc/terminal requested by the merchant.

Do check on the mcc first with cs anyway.

Topped up my touch n go and paid some bills at Sams Paragon today using Wise.

Cashier had to perform the reload 2 times though, and confirmed that it's not double charge after she voided the first trx.

Just paid TNB using new 12 digit account number via UobPayonline at around 6PM.

Received confirmation email with status payment approved about 30 minutes later.

Let see how long it would take to be seen at MyTNB portal.

Any other merchants can pay? I check in epay website merchants like Giant, Mydin, Watson's are listed, can pay for TNB bills etc. Does it count as grocery / pharmacy in Wise also?
*
The most important thing is whether they accept cc payment, which they don't.
