Boring my ass. Watch the opening laps of the '98 Belgian gp, or the closing stages of the '88 Italian gp, and compare that to F1 nowadays...

Record is from the long beach GP, where the winner started from 24th on the grid.... and it's not Schummi

In all the moves I've seen in F1, from the bold Alonso move on Schumacher around the outside of 130R in suzuka, or the Kimi move on the last lap of the same race later, this will always top those..... Racing drivers should learn how this move was made
Mika made this move stick because 1 - He knew the width of the track instinctively 2 - He knew that he had the right of way when he dove inside
Now, if that was good, take a look from Zonta's car
He never saw that coming

My dear, I support good drivers , and last season, I supported Alonso because if he won (and he did), he will take the no 1 to McLaren
@verx, I'm 22, but my brother in law once had this huge collection of old F1 races and reviews.... but it got damaged in flood... gah!!! I missed them

season not started yet but already 'panas'
Those Mika days we saw the McLaren's were faster than the Ferrari's. After 2000...Ferrari made some changes and the rest is history. Can't wait what more changes we'll see this March

linkinstreet : you should take the link of the Mika pass a lap before. This is what new drivers should learn, if you cant make it stick the first time, be patient and try again the next time.
i was fortunate to see in tv Hakkinen, Prost, Senna in action in a McLaren. I miss the season when senna was killed because i was at boarding school.

those were the days.
its hard to say that those move can be done with current cars. things had change so much ever since... the front wing was raised and other aero change. Whats more, engine capacity has been reduce and lifespan increased ridiculously, V8 and now capped at 19k rpm.
Last two san marino race should be a good reminder how hard it is now to overtake.
