QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Feb 2 2007, 12:23 PM) Boring my ass. Watch the opening laps of the '98 Belgian gp, or the closing stages of the '88 Italian gp, and compare that to F1 nowadays... Added on February 2, 2007, 12:25 pm Record is from the long beach GP, where the winner started from 24th on the grid.... and it's not Schummi QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Feb 2 2007, 12:54 PM) In all the moves I've seen in F1, from the bold Alonso move on Schumacher around the outside of 130R in suzuka, or the Kimi move on the last lap of the same race later, this will always top those..... wahahahaha TEH F1 MASTER has spoken Racing drivers should learn how this move was made Mika made this move stick because 1 - He knew the width of the track instinctively 2 - He knew that he had the right of way when he dove inside Now, if that was good, take a look from Zonta's car He never saw that coming QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Feb 2 2007, 02:10 PM) @verx, I'm 22, but my brother in law once had this huge collection of old F1 races and reviews.... but it got damaged in flood... gah!!! I missed them how come?is it caused by johor flood? QUOTE(Hornet @ Feb 2 2007, 11:43 PM) those were the days. truely said so...even FIA GT championship got more overtakings at hard-2-pass-tracks than F1 nowdays its hard to say that those move can be done with current cars. things had change so much ever since... the front wing was raised and other aero change. Whats more, engine capacity has been reduce and lifespan increased ridiculously, V8 and now capped at 19k rpm. Last two san marino race should be a good reminder how hard it is now to overtake. QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Feb 3 2007, 01:32 PM) Meh, racing suit cannot be made from skin, because it can catch fire easily. They usually use non flamable materials. And usually, racers use their own personal suits and shoes. I remember DC saying he's been using the same shoes that he used when he first joined McLaren, with only the McLaren swoosh is now missing. |

Saw the launch of MP4-22 (still silver) in 'Planet of Speed'. Would be happy and hoping if it wasn't for one thing...I think you know what it is Hamilton did say that he's not thinking about podium (yeah right F1. his preferences....
up to him. For me, I love how Ron Dennis handles the McLaren after him and Project 4 leader Mansour Ojjeh took over the team in the 80's. He treats his drivers with respect and some even like his son (remember Mika). Even today, many of former McLaren drivers still respect him |

Hmm, seems that head of Ferrari engineer, Nigel Stepney (Remember him? he was the one that broke his leg when Schumacher ran over him during the botched pit stop in Barcelona during the Schummi vs Mika years) seems to be discontented with the new Ferrari staffs that has been installed after both Todt departure, thus he too wants a 1 year sabbatical

It all depends on how the drivers will do since all drivers has differ attitudes, driving styles, skills and patients. Me 2nd on that Hamilton thing Why don't he just stay at Renault 1st, we need to see which car has the best straight line speed That is crucial and will gave the team the Championship. We've seen it since 2000 where Ferrari and Williams were neck to neck and Williams did manage to beat Ferrari but in the end ferrari always reign with Michael's supremacy |
