only wana comment on the pics....
-make sure that stain is due to some spillage or something, not something horrible like a flood (to be fair, a flooded car would be stained everywhere else as well)
-scratched like that, well... its a used car, you will see many more of that if you really go through the car with a fine toothed comb~

Yeap that look like babymilk more than anything and other one was a coin scratch. Those are more noticeable wear n tears while technical side would check with mazda.

Just wondering the price is hovering at the right margin as people do say that mazda drop value significantly faster than others

Bro, if all car dealer is not trustable then with no choice we have to buy from direct owner?

2008 Toyota Estima 2.4 unreg - i'm guessing the oldest (2008) model would be where the starting price of RM118k starts. So what do you think? 20k extra from your budget but would be your dream car, right?

2005 Toyota Alphard 3.0 - it is cheap and recon, but prepare for a pretty hefty roadtax  sweat.gif

Anyway I think your choice of Wish/Stream is good, but actually they're in the same class as the Livina, so space wise they're not far apart. Anyway, new Livina and unreg Stream/Wish would all be using 1800cc at maximum spec. Talking about spec the Wish has a slight advantage over the Steam as the Wish/Livina has doouble aircon blowers while the Steam only has one so it will get pretty hot for the back row of seats.

2016 Toyota Sienta 1.5 - you might have seen this so let me just tell what it is, basically it is the Toyota version of a Perodua Alza. A b-segment sized MPV. So, yeah, space wise it sucks. End.

2016 Chery Eastar 2.0 and 2016 Chery Maxime 2.0 - well actually the Maxime is the replacement model for the Eastar. I think you might have come across it. Based on specs and looks I'm quite suspicious it is some cetak rompak/JV version of an older Toyota Wish but I can't be too sure. There also is no crash test information for this car so driving it on highways often is a risk but spec wise it looks good. You might see these cars for sale so you have my two cents.

2010/2011 Toyota Wish 1.8 - i suppose end of the day the most wise choice would be picking up a car like this, the facelift model of the Wish, since it has a pretty good spec -- upgraded gearbox with 7AT, Eco mode, touch screen DVD, and limited warranty (normally for recon/grey import cars they'll give you a years worth of warranty for the major components like engine/gearbox). But of course it lacks the power doors and boot. Less headache with a Wish as maintenance and parts will always be cheap.

Hi Zenix

Thanks for your previous suggestion 🙂

After long time considering your suggestion, i narrow down my selection into these two:
http://m.mudah.my/view?ca=9_3_s&cg=1020&q=...&ad_id=48035513

http://m.mudah.my/view?ca=9_3_s&cg=1020&q=...&ad_id=48022807

Looking for your advice, Which one is better?
I drop out Wish & Stream because some user told that it doesn't have rear aircond.

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy an used car and my budget is around 35k to 40k (cash payment)
My conditions:

- used car
- year 2011 to 2016
- 4 seater (with room for a baby car seater)
- auto transmission
- I'm tall (above 187cm) so I prefer a Sedan

I'm inclined to buy a Proton preve 2012/2013

Any recommendations or comment about this model?

Thank you / terima Kasih

hmm just gona throw in a few options~~

1)forte
-decent car all round but.... there are others

2)inspira
+larger, more powerful and being a mitsu, its jepunis so > reliability thumbup.gif
-barely fits your budget
-more expensive to maintain than the preve for sure
-less safety features than a preve

3)sylphy
+very damned comfortable, its to me the most comfortable car in its segment that you can get for that kind of money
-costs more than a preve to maintain
-aint powerful (if you ask me at least)
-prefacelift models had issues with the gb

4)alza
+well its large, economical, whats more to say?
-minimalistic safety features

5)new persona/saga
+new stuff, you get latest tech
-new stuff, means its unproven new stuff
-you got to wait
-costs more than this

as for the preve... i would not touch anything which does not have the cfe.... the cps's are depressing. Thats my only opinion of it. The cfe models are what i would call decent, pretty decent features all round, only the lackluster built quality BUT it is acceptable given its pricetag. the engine (cfe) is alright i guess, just enough power and the fc while isnt great in town, is also not horrible. on the safety side, its great.

technically you can also afford to buy some other even nicer cars! but i do not think you want to maintain them

haha diferent opinions. actually cars like the old junk saga, wira, those especially are extremely simple, nothing much can go wrong, not much electronics and the likes. Anything kaput, its also an easy and cheap fix. The only issues with these cars to me is, safety.... no matter how safely/carefully  you drive, there will always be the chance that another driver smashes into you.

oh hoho cant really comment cause me poorfeg, dont know much about these other than: these are very luxurious machines you have selected here.... all pretty good cars, reliability and comfort wise... if theres a downside to this selection, it would be with the engines. these 'smaller' cc ones just have enough ooomph to push that fully loaded fat heavy body around (not that its much of a problem since the 'small' engines are still decent)

they aint cheap so i think you should go and view and test drive all 3 before you come up with a decision..... end of the day it must appeal to you rclxm9.gif

*iirc, they came with a gazillion options and various trims, so yeah have to do some homework there or look out for the items you specifically want

Hi guys. I travel from home to school and back home with total of 30km distance only. Basically using jalan kampung(most of the time stuck behind huge slow lorry)..

-with budget around 40k(can still extend), what car would suit me?
-Not married yet so boot is not a must.
-if possible a used car worth the 2nd hand value
-low cost maintenance
-FC doesn't extremely burn my wallet

Zenix suggested many times Latio as a good choice. At this point scrolling down this thread, I also have the urge to get Latio. However, what are the things or the downside that I should consider while choosing this car over other cars in the similar league?

if you want a new car for this price which is 40-60k ,then it is between perodua bezza and proton persona.(http://www.perodua.com.my/ourcars/bezza) and (http://www.newpersona.proton.com/). The price of Bezza's full specs is $50800.00. However,The price of Persona's full specs is $59350 for solid and $59800.00.For more information, Persona is a B segment sedan car but bezza is an A segment sedan car. However, Proton is offering you free labour and parts for 3 years

technically speaking... its never worth it to sell a car.. you always lose. Its a buyers market, many sellers few buyers (yours is around 20 so loans might be urm..... rclxub.gif for buyers)

early 06 (less uncle-like, xv40 camry) and late batch 06 (more uncle-like, xv30 camry) were 2 diferent camries iirc, not sure which camry you own~ also theres the 2.4 and 2.0
you can check mudah for the prices, xv30's are around 30+k while the xv40's are around 50+k
