my sibling has graduated in dentistry course in Malaysia, and he spent his time in India for his studies (Vinayaka University). is there any guidance on how he can get a placement or job as a dentist or related in Singapore?
*
He needs to send his resume to dental clinics and get an offer first. Then have to sit the exam to get dentist licence for SG. Got 2 exams i heard, with some time gap in between(not sure). After passing exams then the employer will apply working pass for him.

P.S. One can only sit the exam twice in a lifetime, and both attempts have to be done within 1 or 2 years.

P.P.S. Only certs from uni recognized by SG is able to get an offer, like medicine SG only accept UM UKM, dental I'm not sure.

Or be a dental assistant, that's what my dental friend's assistant does. He holds a dental cert from Philippine's uni.

Not apply for the same position 200 times  doh.gif

Ya man. You apply too many times with one company the recruiter sure straight away shred or delete your application as soon as they see your name.

That being said though, my current job I got after failed 3 times with the same company, for the same role.

first attempt
1. with business mgmt - passed
2. with hiring manager - failed (lack of exp and product knowledge)

second attempt
1. business mgmnt - gave a bye since they liked me from first round
2. with different hiring mgr - failed again because lack of exp and product knowledge.

Feeling a bit like shit, I took a certificate that helped me with my product knowledge. Saw same vacancy popped up again half a year later, applied one last time. I wrote email to the business management said I die die wanna be their corporate slave. This time got a bye again for business management round, and hiring manager still said I don't have any exp within the role, and still needs to polish on the product knowledge. But she appreciates the thick skin attitude.

So, sometimes it's how we carry ourselves under certain circumstances. And also luck.

Any bus recommendation from Sg to Mont Kiara/One utama?
The ones that I tried is Odyssey, which is not bad but costs quite a bit...
I need something more budget friendly...

How much is your budget? I usually prefer Aerobus to 1U due to the fact that
they provide food and on-board entertainment.

I've a few questions, hope I can get some advice on it:-

1. How long does it usually take from EP application to IPA?
1-2 weeks

2. If you've signed / accepted the employment offer to start work in August but
have not yet even received the IPA, are you required to report for work using the
social pass?
You need to accept the offer for your new employer to submit the application form. Usually they'll submit the form the day after once you submit the signed employment offer.

3. I understand that it is illegal to work without EP or any other passes, but does
in-process of application count for anything?
You can use the IPA to start your new job

4. What is a comfortable salary range for Malaysians working in SG? Is 4k acceptable?
I mean, without spending much on luxuries.
4k and only spend on necessities, I believe you can save >2k/month

Btw, I've submitted almost 20+ resumes before landing this job recently.
Good luck to job-seekers out there!

Thanks!  smile.gif

I see, it's about $50 from SG to 1U if bought in Singapore and RM117 (about S$39) if bought from Malaysia.
Buying from Malaysia is not really an option unless you're willing to go to JB and get it.

The cheapest one will be First Coach.
Five Star and another one is usually by season.

It is worth to pay for Odyssey, after trying for few months, Odyssey so far take the shortest time to reach to KL from Sg.

Just approach the customer service booth at any MRT station. They have it for sale.
