1. How long does it usually take from EP application to IPA?
>> normally, 1-2 weeks

2. If you've signed / accepted the employment offer to start work in August but
have not yet even received the IPA, are you required to report for work using the
social pass?
>> depend on ur employer... mostly will wait for IPA before work

3. I understand that it is illegal to work without EP or any other passes, but does
in-process of application count for anything?
>> no

4. What is a comfortable salary range for Malaysians working in SG? Is 4k acceptable?
I mean, without spending much on luxuries.
>> what u mean by comfortable? other ppl earn 1.5 - 2k also can survive comfortably. it down to what u want....

Btw, I've submitted almost 20+ resumes before landing this job recently.

Proposed myr annual package : myr114k (before bonus, expected to be similarly pathetic)

Hi guys, if we migrate

1) my car still at Malaysia, want to keep it coz I will go back frequently and drive. What should I do ？ do I need to go jpj change ownership ? [Yes] But still consider same person right ? No charges ? And next time to renew insurance and road tax, any problem ? [once they updated ownership, then no problem lo]

2) next time I take flight back to singapore, can I claim for tax refund for my purchases ? [tax refund only for tourist or foreigner, right?]

3) I do not own any other asset apart from the car, any other thing I should take care of after I got the new citizenship ? In term of finances or banking issue? I do have a bank account and quite a lot of credit card in Malaysia ....  [u must update bank and they will either let u keep or issue new]

PM doesnt means tat u do not need to know technical, and people who think PM with technical exp previously do not need to learn any other new things is also ........ you be surprise how much a PM really need to handle ...... recommend to have a look at PMP course, it shows you what and how to be a really good PM.

learning process is no end one, doesnt means ur previous exp will help u survive eternally , i am a good example , 6 yrs in consultancy and now change to pure PM , still got many fuking new thing pop out every single days

PM role responsibility is always wider > pure technical  , and it doesnt mean u cannot absorb any knowledge from it , really depends to individual person

Did any PM quit his role to go back into technical role?
