latest system really not good for grabbies ..... grabbies tend to aim incentive else what for doing short trip ???? now there is no minimum fare, last time still got minimum MYR 7.

Generally, grabbies will now be come aggressive i.e. drive fast to reach the pick up points, rush them to get in, and rush to destination.... and while stuck in jam... the pressure is pilling up... cause lost of time.

Have they actually test it them self before announce it ?


It would better if the system is reverse i.e. normal hours give higher incentive to encourage grabbies come online, then busy hour no incentive but charge higher fare due to high demand also to supplement grabbies for their time stuck in jam during this peak hours.

Then revert the minimum fare no matter how the short trip is, the rider can always use promotion code to get lower fare, now so many promotion...

The new scheme attract more driver to go for peak and super peak hour. Last month too many passenger complain the fare is high on peak hours. Thats why.
For full time driver, non-bonus and normal bonus seems does not attractive anymore.

Means grab will losing full timer and gaining part timer. Isn't that a stupid strategy?

Today went to drive from 7am-10am and 5pm-9pm.
Money I collect before commission is RM138 before commision charge. With new incentive scheme I will get around RM40 incentive if everythings work fine.
I dunno how they gonna calculate if there is lost of internet connection like for few minutes.

I would like to ask, why GrabCar does not accept Perodua Viva vehicle while Uber does?

It seems the smallest car they would accept is a Perodua Axia which in my opinion is not really much larger than a Perodua Viva.

It is correct. And you can know the pick up point and drop off point before you accept the job. A lot of Uber driver move to Grab. Only IOS (Apple) user unable to drive grab.

Before the new incentive implemented.....I drove from 6am-10am and 5pm to 8pm. I can make average of rm325 in fare plus incentives.

Now ..now we earn less than half of our previous earning....how pathetic to be a grabbies now.

Wait till u see the amount we make on this coming Fri and sat....I think we gonna cry like a baby. For your information, Fri and sat...I can make up to rm700-800 per day
last time.

does driving grab earn slightly more compare to uber then?

I have a full time job monthly income between RM6.5k - RM7.5k. This haven't include EPF from employer and yearly bonus.
Like what I said, Uber or Grab is not a long term job. Assume I earn RM9k from Grab, after deduct commission 20%, Petrol 15%, Car Maintenance 10%. I only get RM5,000 per month. The new incentive structure seems like copy from Uber but with slightly higher incentive.
It only attract me to work on busy hour. Usually I only target non-busy hour and get about RM240 for 12 hours before deduction of commission and petrol (Dint go for incentive).

Today work 9hours and 30 minutes on busy hour only.
Get payment of RM212. Incentive estimate will get RM152.
Total earn today RM364 within 10 hours . Havent include tips from customer.
The new incentive structure quite good for part time driver like me. Previously maximum only earn RM240 max for 12 hours per day.

The amount stated above haven't deduct 20% commission and petrol.

Can explain how you arrived the incentive amount MR 152.00 ?

Are this tier 1 or tier 2 ? have you achieved 90% for the week already ? did you use the guarantee gross amount for the hour minus the collected fare made on that hour to get the amount of incentive ?

RM 152 / 10 hours, indicated incentive is 15.20 per hour......

Current system just guarantee your every hour fare collected is cap at the rate provided. It can't be more than that, once you get airport job, dun expect any incentive from that hour even you make 3 trips on that hour.
