Urgh this is not needed. I agree richfag places don't need mrt/lrt lines. The richfags rather die than being sardine with B40 and bangla in trains.

S02 - Sri Hartamas
S03 - Mont Kiara
S04 - Dutamas

Dude there are many places like these that people not from the area would like to frequent more but can't cause it doesn't make sense by car, either too far or economically.

Right now I don't go to like most kiara cause there's no parking (pre covid) and the available parking is the paid one at solaris which can get expensive. If I can take the train I'll gladly take it and go there more often and frequent the establishments there to chill or do some light work at the cafe

Don't think it will go towards Bukit Damansara but instead run along the Sprint Kerinchi Link until Sri Hartamas. There's one provisonal station at Pusat Sains Negara show that part will run along with Sprint highway.

the bukit damansara interchange has always been planned as an interchange station even before mrt 1 started construction

Hopefully so. Recently there have been so many new developments trying to piece through Bukit Damansara area. Starting with the Aira Residence, then we have The Cedar and a few more upcoming developments that tend to sell by the upmarket name of 'Damansara Height'. All thanks to Pavilion Damansara that bringing in the crowd.

The residents have constantly make objection to DBKL because the area was long gazetted as bungalow residential only. There is a strict height limit where your building should not block the view of the neighbours. Too bad, corruption happen and some developments have successfully pierce through the laws that suppose to protect the interest of the residents. Once one is allowed, the rest will make it as a case reference in the appeal with DBKL. I know many of the residents have plan to move out from Bukit Damansara to a less congested area. Sooner or later, this prestigous address will be normalised.

I think what Hirano trying to express is the rich are not welcoming the M40 into their area. They prefer having their own sweat heaven without needing to share space with the poor. It is a drop of standard if you dine and shop at the same place as the poor. I think that's the mentality.

I think the inclusion to these stations can have more people come to the commercial area like Desa Sri Hartamas, Kiara 163, Arcoris, and 1MK etc. without bring their car. Parking was a pain in the ass pre-mco.

Btw the Bukit Kiara station was located at the border of Bukit Damansara near the INTAN and Sprint Kerinchi Link and Damansara Link interchange side, it's not exactly at the centre of Bukit Damansara so it's not directly affected.

If anything the Kerinchi Link from INTAN to Sri Hartamas would be the MRT3 construction site since the underground alignment will run underneath the highway.

Thanks for the info. At least not actually inside the Damansara ring. Else, I can imagine Plaza Damansara full of Bangladeshi, Ah Beng Ah Lian, and rempit kids. The Republic is a good place to hang out.

No. My point is actually... building stations and tracks to those T20 areas are a waste of money. They could have channel that money to other b40/m40 areas with more population density.

Resources are finite, use it well at the right places.

I really dont give a fak if T20 standards drop or what.

Ah right. True to a certain extent. NIMBY culture is big in these areas, TTDI as well when MRT was being done

These stations may be the destination for M40 and B40, not the departure for T20.

Yes the MRT3 alignment will run towards Sprint highway up from Bukit Kiara/INTAN to Sri Hartamas so just barely touching the Bukit Damansara border or should I say not going into Bukit Damansara at all so the richfag there can happy. I hope MRT Corp can modify plan to include the Pusat Sains Negara station as full station instead just giving provisional status (i.e. station may be built after MRT3 been operational depend on the demand) to give convenience for staffs working at Securities Commission and attract publics going to National Science Centre.

Possible NIMBY for those stations:

S02 Sri Hartamas (Maybe, but the underground station was most likely situated underneath the busy Kerinchi Link-Jalan 19/70A junction with the main station entrance at the Desa Sri Hartamas commercial area side so who knows)
S03 Mont Kiara (Station likely at Jalan Kiara 4 but many Young Executive, Expats stay there so who knows)
S04 Dutamas (Same)
S07 Jalan Kuching (Same)
S16 Hillview (Rich area of Ampang/Ulu Kelang?)
S30 Gasing (Not sure the residents of Sek 5, Sek 9 and Sek 10 PJ would handle an interchange station was build there)

My bad for using the wrong pronoun that trigger you so badly. I should have use they instead because, YES I'm not belong to the rich. I'm  just a poor salary earner.

Anyway, things for you to think about. There are different categories of property market depending on the target group. I do not deny that good infrastructure leading to the increase of property value. But that only happen to property where the target market group is the working class, where 'convenience' is the priority. However, place like Bukit Damansara, Tropicana, Sieramas, and Country Height have different target market group. These places are more inclining to the ultra rich, e.g. CEOs, politicians, etc. For the mindset of this group, exclusivity and privacy are deem valuable as they do not want much public nuisance. Good infrastructure leading to high traffic volume which turn into lesser privacy. Take a very good example, the MRT line supposing to have a station near to Tropicana, but residents are making complaint and objection to the idea. And I believe the station has been canceled or revised to a better place.

And also YES. The real we has multiple properties for investment. But they always come down to a place, the only place that they will call it their forever home.

Think it deeper. I might be wrong because I'm not WE that earn that much of cash.

Real ultra richfag live in bukit Tunku, bukit Damansara bukit Bangsar. Area already serve by public transit.

Most of the noise are made by medium helang, well not even a helang, more of a upper middle class like in Tropicana or TTDI or the whole of Penang island. Just bunch of pretentious people overinflating their ego thinking they helang. But gomen never considered them helang at all.

Also the circle like doesn't even go to Bukit Damansara, Tropicana, Sieramas, and Country Height.

Is not me talking about Bukit Damansara in my argument? Also, have you really been to Bukit Tunku and Bukit Damansara? There are no public transit as far as I know.

So in your opinion Tropicana is ‘helang’ or not ‘helang’? Your first sentence says it is pretentious ‘helang’, then your last sentence are making it in the same categories as Bukit Damansara.

Anyway, go check out where does Marina Mahathir and Ismail Sabri is living. Tell me if Tropicana is pretentious.

Also, Bangsar is one good example of what happen to a place when you bring in public transit, congested and mixed up. Bangsar area has two prominent addresses, Bukit Bandaraya and Bukit Pantai, which are very likely get infested by these public transit soon. Hence most residents have left and their units are being converted to commercial use.

I’m not going to put you more information, as I can see from your argument that you are an ignorant kid. My sincere apology if my sentences do hurt your ego somewhere. All the best.

I honestly don't think it will. just look at bukit timah in Singapore. It is much more accessible compared to even just 5 years ago, and there have also been a lot of new developments in the past decade but it still retains it's identity as the atas area in singapore

It's not really for the richfags. It's to help with the prestige of the line.

If the MRT/LRT line only goes to slummy places people are going to associate it being low class

Us normies also like to go to high class areas to feel high class there's also that
