Anyone using the following router with TIME? I noticed for myself there are some blind spots in my bedroom with the supplied D Link 850L .

Tenda AC15 - AC1900 -price around RM399 - quite reasonable
Tenda

Well, I don't care so much for the looks of the router. I'm more interested in the specs.
Looks like I'm going for the C2600 due to the more powerful CPU and the MUMIMO feature.

Thanks for letting me know both routers are supported tho

Cheers
*
How about the Asus routers? They are more expensive though...i'm shopping for an alternative myself but have been looking at Tenda AC 15...seems quite ok....and price is not bad....but quality - not too sure

Well at least TIME is not down almost on holidays and weekends like Symphonet...

To TIME's credit , they actually solved the problem in a few hours compared to a few days for Symphonet...

Although there seems to be more issues occuring nowdays compared to before...lets hope it doesn't end up like Symphonet

Time down at oug parklane, again.. zzzzz

report id: 791555

EDIT: As soon as I posted it, connection came back online. It was down for about 30mins I guess.

Im happy with Time's internet speeds/connection/ping. But without fail, it has reliability issues at Oug parklane.

So far it was down on 25th Nov, 1st Dec and today 26 Dec..

25th Nov = internet down couple of hours
1st Dec = internet down for 1 and a half day or so
26th Dec = internet down for 30 mins.
dont really know whats the issue here..
*
Be glad its not like Symphonet - down for a few days especially during holidays at Parklane....at least if its down they normally get it resolved fast...most of the time...

Thanks. The speed and performance quality OK?

Warranty got problem to claim? Got problem while connecting?
Signal strength and speed better than D-Link Stock Router?

Heard one shop said this brand not many sales and no advertise.

What is the speed test on 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi?
*
Getting 100 Mbps in my living room. Furthest point I can get about 50-60 Mbps. Compared to D Link which I only get around 20-30 Mbps. It also has auto reboot maintain daily which is good for the router to clear up memory.

Warranty is 3 years. So it's not bad. Brand name not as famous like TP link or Dlink hence the cheaper price

How long have you used the Tenda router?

Pros and cons?

Any feedback is great
*
2 months now almost. So far no cons. Better than the stock D Link router in terms of range and performance

Hi, sorry is out of my budget already. Wireless N is currently enough
*
Be careful with some budget routers - it may not give you the speed or range you need - I'm using the AC15 myself - so far so good- replaced my DLINK router from Time due to low coverage from D Link

I typically get slow down at night. Not so sure about you guys.

I am currently using Archer C7.

Range has improved changing from stock. But not as great as I thought it would be
*
It was better the over the weekend. Still need to monitor. They seem to be having issues during peak periods which is usually at night when everyone's home.

Was going to go with TP Link but Tendas offering seems better

Anyone using tenda ac15 router? I read tenda ac15 range is better than stock dlink dir 850 in here. But I find tenda ac15 2.4ghz wifi range and performance is worst than dlink 850.
My download and upload speed is terrible when using 2.4ghz wireless N connection at far end of the house. Any special setting in tenda ac15 for those who find tenda ac15 range is better?
The range and performance is improve if I connect using 5ghz but it is also not significant improve when compare with dlink 850. rclxub.gif
*
No such issue for me - i find it much better than my DIR 850 - at least I can get coverage at the furthest corner of my home with the AC 15

The DIR 850L that comes with the 100mbps line is awful. It is weak and slow!

Is the primary DNS from Time making the Internet slow or is it the router? When I sit in front of the router, it's 100mbps

It makes my access point slow too.
*
So if you're in front of the router you get 100 Mbps via speedtest?

And if you move else where - how much slower is it?

If you move away.

Slightly slower.

Sometimes I can get 80 - 99 Mbps on 100Mbps from my room.
With full signal.
*
80-99 is very good already...i get about 50-60 Mbps - but then again there are many walls from where my router is placed so its acceptable - previously was 30 Mpbs with the DIR 850

Hi, just to tell you that I'm using TP-Link Archer C9

This router is good.

Even 2.4GHz can get that speed if settings changed in Wireless Settings.
*
I would assume its good - price is double that of Tenda AC 15 smile.gif

they just run the cable like that.

slightly longer than drilling hole but it's within certain length so they didn't charge extra.

This has got to be one of the worse cabling job ever. Contractor do get $$ for installations. This is just unacceptable.
