Just came back from a extended business trip overseas, and was told that TIME has upgraded the plans.

Do I need to reboot the BTU/modem, or just the router to get the higher speed?

Also, is provided DIR-850L capable of supporting over 100Mbps, or do I have to change to something better like the Archer C7?

Hi. First thing reboot both ONU and Router.
Next thing, perform LAN connection and see whether your speed can achieve the upgraded speed.
Try to perform your Wi-Fi speed, if not satisfied then proceed to buy a new router.

You can order D-Link DIR-882 from TIME which is cheaper than outside. Last time I bought TP-Link Archer C9 within the same price range as D-Link DIR-882 as it using AC2600.

Yup. Quite surprising that AC2600 sold by TIME almost same price like I bought C9 a month ago!

Mine seems to be still on 500mbps. Cs says only upgrade at end of billing cycle? Wtf.

There's a catch, if ur contract less than 12 months and u got upgraded to 1Gbps u can't redeem the DIR-882, only if u more than 12 months in contract edi. So new user like me need to buy a new router

Surprisingly today i can get 2ms ping result as usually more than 10ms since 2 months ago , btw this was test through wifi

Same here. Cannot get for free! By the way, mine still new (Archer C9). So I will use it for another few years to see how. Frankly, 500Mbps is way too enough for me ady, no needed to go 1Gbps but if the price is the same, I don't mind

I can downgrade without penalty and refresh contract.

KL. i switched from 8 years Unifi to Time since Apr this year, first 2 month was good, after that getting deteriorated, hopefully the performance will be maintained.

Next month getting free C1200.

Wait till my C9 kaput first. No point buying new router when the existing still working. If very slow on Wi-Fi means I will downgrade to 100Mbps or upgrade to AC5400X. Hehe.

I heard that in KL got less PING than Penang. Minimum 9 m/s every time.

Just applied downgrade to 100mbps, save RM30+.

Maybe due to distance.

Btw my Time C1200 router become like this now, probably the firmware was damaged
