I believe you've already taken the upgrade with Aneka pack for RM299... I'm still on the older VIP10 Plan with waived fees on the Hypptv Mega Pack. Some similar subscribers who've upgraded to the ADV30 plan managed to negotiate the free Mega Pack into their current bundle. I was offered a similar deal but declined mainly because they refused to upgrade the much older equipment with the newer ones & include the free voice plan. They had no problems renewing the contract for another 24 months.. I wasn't pleased with that and so awaiting contract termination.
*
I see. I was one of those user who got to retain my existing mega pack with free calls, sucks when they told me all that will be discontinued if I upgrade to Unifi 100 but since there are no alternatives, got to go with it. Hope they will come to change the BTU and that TM router which collecting dust in my drawer.

Although, earlier this evening someone from TM called and told me my application for upgrade has been duly noted, just that they need to wait for upgrade confirmation if it is doable and will be calling me back once confirmed. Looks like my waiting time for the upgrade went from 7 working days to unknown now.

Unifi biz subscriber here since day 1, if they don't have respect for loyal customers then they can screw off.

Really absurd prices.

At least the international connections was not too bad in the recent weeks unlike when the fault first happened on February 29.

Ya of course. Only thing is in the beginning, the traffic diversion/management was not optimum, hence the extreme slowness. But over the weeks, the traffic diversion was better managed, hence the not too bad situation we "enjoy" now.

My take on this is more that TM reluctantly opened its wallet and coughed up some cash to buy bandwidth on alternative routes. Something that more 'enlightened' service providers do preemptively as a contingency, so as to cause minimal disruption to their subscribers should a cable break happen somewhere.

Let's call a spade a spade. Cable breaks don't just happen to TM. They happen to everybody. TM just happens to be pretty bad at having a backup plan when one occurs. And to be fair about it, they are not the only one like that in the world... although a lot of people like to think so and it seems like that sometimes wink.gif. I've seen worse throughout the years, to be honest.

True, I remember those days in the past when I was a Jaring subscriber (the days of dialup, and the few years I used their Flite Wireless broadband), same thing happens.
