are maxis mobile internet package got contracts??
it lag or nop, if i used it for PPStream??
*
nope... no contract binded. you can terminate any time.

I didn't try PPStream, but I was playing WoW (online game), the latency surprisingly better than streamyx. But streamyx is still more stable... like it or not... streamyx is still the best ISP amont the worst in Malaysia.

as far as I remembered... no. I just called up and ask the CS to add in this VAS for me. in 30mins, my unlimited plan was on. But it's better you call and ask... 'cos I'm not Maxis staff. They might change policy now...

If you are existing postpaid user, you can just add this value added service by just calling the customer service.
If you want to register for a new data only sim card, then you have to pay RM100 for the first month fee.

Sorry - question: How is Maxis 3G different from Maxis WIreless Broadband? Both use HSDPA/3G as far as technology is concerned, yes? I'm confused.

I would have done that if the thread wasn't 45 pages long. A simple explanation to those who can afford thew few minutes to type is appreciated.

Hiyoh why so mean one? Don't have anything nice to say simply don't say anything la. If Maxis' website was so straightforward I'd never bother asking in the first place.

I go to Maxis Broadband there's only wireless, wired and voice2go. Piqued my interest because there are two seemingly different services on one band (3G).

Tanya pun tak boleh?

Boleh boleh.
Maxisbb = standard maxis bb package. 78/88/99 or whatever they call it "broadband" which have a 3gb cap per month.
Maxis 3g = a package that is actually pay per use, but there's a package cost rm99 per month, unlimited data usage. No cap heard so far, as it is meant for mobile phone usage or using mobile phone as a modem, but u can use it(the simcard) in those usb and even zte mf600 modem.

smile.gif Chill. All info's in this thread.

Same here, this fluctuation is even worse than earthquake... doh.gif

Haven't been getting 'normal' speeds recently and by normal = 100kB/s+. I might be un-thankful, but now it's dropped to an average to 20kB/s everyday.... I'm not happy. Barely able to load pages recently too.

For my case, I'm not able to download from RS at all. I've set my account to do 'direct downloads' but all I'm getting is blank pages across all servers.

I think Maxis is blocking RapidShare downloads as I've tried downloading through a vpn and it works just fine.
