This is my case : I share my internet with my friends in hostel. 4 person for 1 maxis. Since the maxis BB contract is going to end, and i am using a maxis postpaid. After my contract ends, i will get the modem(ZTE white) for free.
So, i terminate my maxis BB, and apply for my current postpaid line, maxis 3g unlimited(for phone). Then, i ask maxis to make a multisim for me. Then, using the 2nd sim card, i put it into my ZTE white modem(replace the terminated wireless BB). Can it work?
And if i buy a 3g modem myself(like e220). I make another multisim, and use the modem. I can online simultaneously with the sim in ZTE white? For example, i will get a speed of 2mb/s with the e220 modem. And at the same time, my friend in hostel can get the same speed?
As far as i see, the line for this unlimited package is overall faster than the normal maxis BB.
Monthly charges is RM50(postpaid) + RM99(Maxis3g unlimited) + RM15 + RM15 + extra USAGE of phone
the 2nd choice is i just apply for a maxis line that i could use only data usage. So month charges for my internet line(exclude phone line) will be only rm99 + rm15(multisim) right?
Right?

New update on this thing.
I went to gardens and confirmed the pricing and called maxis customer service.
I applied a multi-sim card with the primary card as a only data card usage(Rm99 unlimited usage). I have 2 sim cards currently.
The charges has changed, not as what people said here, it is now.. :
Rm99 (Primary card) + Rm15 (multi-sim charges) + Rm10("package for sup-card) = RM 124 + 5% tax
As for the RM10 package for sup-card, i dont see this charges in maxis's Multi-Sim F&Q page. I will call them up again later
confirmed with 2 CS, now need 2 wait the bill to arrive i guess.

Askar Perang, which model you using? I Using the u1-tf modem and i couldnt get to 3g connection since day 1. It is like maxis 3g connection rejects my connection. I got 2 of them, one of them could only connect EDGE, another one couldn't even detect both my multi-sim
But the funny thing is, both of these modem can work with my sim card(Maxis) which is meant for calling purpose, with 3g and super fast speed.
Anyone mind to clarify? X_X Maxis CS will assist me soon, complained since day1..

In my case, a little different. I have 1 main sim and 3 sub simcard.
Full speed from each. Monthly charges are still a question till now. (i received my first bill, and it seemed fine)
The charges will be : Rm99(Unlimited data plan) + Rm45(Rm15x3) + Rm30(Rm10x3) = RM174 x 105% (tax) = RM182.70(Bill should arrive in 2 weeks time)
For the RM30(RM10x3), is the plan for every single sub simcard i have. The CS confirmed three times with me that i need a plan for every sub simcard i have. So RM10 for simcard is the cheapest plan maxis have.
Well, i have a question. If i have a RM50 value plan for the primary simcard which have the Rm99 internet package, will the sub simcards be charged with these rm10 per month? I will call up maxis CS for more info regarding this matter.

AskarPerang, do you need to pay the initial RM15 + RM10(plan for sub sim) ?? Or just mere RM15?

I faced frequent disconnection and and data spike(suddenly no data transfer). But this is easily solved by reconnecting. I think this is maxis's problem, not the modem. As my other modem faces this too.
I'm using k3565, e160, mf600

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Aug 15 2009, 10:03 PM) Hiyoh why so mean one? Don't have anything nice to say simply don't say anything la. If Maxis' website was so straightforward I'd never bother asking in the first place. I go to Maxis Broadband there's only wireless, wired and voice2go. Piqued my interest because there are two seemingly different services on one band (3G). Tanya pun tak boleh? Boleh boleh. Maxisbb = standard maxis bb package. 78/88/99 or whatever they call it "broadband" which have a 3gb cap per month. Maxis 3g = a package that is actually pay per use, but there's a package cost rm99 per month, unlimited data usage. No cap heard so far, as it is meant for mobile phone usage or using mobile phone as a modem, but u can use it(the simcard) in those usb and even zte mf600 modem. Chill. All info's in this thread.
