This happens not only with Maxis but other operators as well. When it is about refunding, don't expect it to be really fast. Some have only gotten their refund about 3 to 4 months later.

This is my case :
I share my internet with my friends in hostel. 4 person for 1 maxis. Since the maxis BB contract is going to end, and i am using a maxis postpaid. After my contract ends, i will get the modem(ZTE white) for free.

So, i terminate my maxis BB, and apply for my current postpaid line, maxis 3g unlimited(for phone). Then, i ask maxis to make a multisim for me. Then, using the 2nd sim card, i put it into my ZTE white modem(replace the terminated wireless BB). Can it work?

And if i buy a 3g modem myself(like e220). I make another multisim, and use the modem. I can online simultaneously with the sim in ZTE white?
For example, i will get a speed of 2mb/s with the e220 modem. And at the same time, my friend in hostel can get the same speed?

As far as i see, the line for this unlimited package is overall faster than the normal maxis BB.

Monthly charges is RM50(postpaid) + RM99(Maxis3g unlimited) + RM15 + RM15 + extra USAGE of phone

the 2nd choice is i just apply for a maxis line that i could use only data usage. So month charges for my internet line(exclude phone line) will be only
rm99 + rm15(multisim) right?

Right?

Nope. I applied for mine at Orange Mobile, Taman Sungei Besi. I think you can apply for it at any Maxis centre or MASA outlet.

Yes, the 3 SIMs can be used simultaneously. Mine has voice call as well, so I can use both phones to make calls at the same time. However, only one phone can receive calls at any one time. Judging from he-sham's post, looks like the RM99 charge applies to all SIMs which is good but I didn't realise that before. Maxis has been giving misleading info.

new user of maxis unet 3g, switched from digi. have been quite good in terms of speed, overall. however, this last few weeks i had been disconnected from the network every 20 mins or an hour. the longest i stayed online so far is 3 hours. very irritating at times when i have to start downloading all over again. anyone having same problem?

fyi, i didnt have this problem before. the signal strength is good too. could be the network booting me off...

Using E220 Huawei. Any ideas wad problem?

The cause of the problem was mentioned as "The connection was terminated because the other side is not responding" under Mac. I tried on windows XP and vista, too. Same situations. Worse in windows XP at times, causing the system to hang... The connection just went dead after 20 min to an hour. The longest possible is about 3 hours.

It's either the signal not strong enough or the modem problem. Check the modem firmware version...update to the latest version if necessary.
