So guys, I've bought the the parts required to build my own 60% keyboard. All except for the PCB board itself. My plan is to buy GH60 board with the resistors and diodes installed. Is this the correct one?
https://world.taobao.com/item/41916850252.h...0.9eheaV#detail
or this?
https://world.taobao.com/item/45802760146.h...0.9eheaV#detail
Please help me out here as my Chinese is not that good, I don't really understand the electrical words for keyboard. I've read some guide on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboard...board_parts_on/
Some guy says that most GH60 already pre-soldered with resistor, diodes, basically everything except for the switches and LED itself. Is it true? I'm pretty worry about it, not sure if I should buy diodes and resistor separately...  rclxub.gif

In the first link, GH60 整板 is the one with diodes and resistors presoldered, you need only switches and led and it is usable, but I'm not sure whether the stabiliser is included or not.
In the second link, GH60 主板+卫星轴 is also presoldered but stabilisers are also included.
Remember to buy the plate for mounting the switches too smile.gif
Good Luck !

since its your first time, why not share your parts list and let others see if you have left out any important parts? the GH60 comes with presoldered diodes and resistors and the firmware flashed. thumbup.gif

Are all of these enough? Or do I need to add an aluminium base plate to my list since I'm not sure if the acrylic case for GH60 will include the plate. Please do give me ideas before I finally consolidate my cart thanks.

It is obscene to open up such a pricey board ala hhkb to mod it.

you are ordering all over the places dude, for item 1-7 you could have just ordered from one shop (either 酷品,白杨 or 怡科) to save on some shipping costs. the case is a floating switch design which comes with plate.

one thing to note about those transparent stabilizers, they are rattly. can be fixed by placing some scotch tape on the PCB before mounting the stabilizers.

other than that it seems like you are good to go. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

the LED are oriented at the top for the rev. L and supports either micro-USB or mini-USB.

the PCB in rev. B are have the LED oriented at the bottom, requires expansion module to support full-key lighting, otherwise only the arrows, WASD, Esc, Caps, Fn keys are lighted. only supports mini-USB.

Thanks for showing that video of the stabilizer's rattling noise. I'll buy the black stabilizer too then.
If I select the orange choice for the PCB, which consists of PCB, stabilizer, and
半高乳壳"half height" shell (not sure if it's lip-less shell), do I need to buy the aluminium base? I've search this store and found a 60% Lip-less acrylic case 60% but worth RMB249. So I'm not sure if it would be possible that the store sells GH60PCB+Stabilzer+Lip-less 60% acrylic case at RMB349. Please confirm with me, I'm pretty confused now. rclxub.gif

For the PCB+Stabilizer+Case
https://world.taobao.com/item/44256491567.h...196601.5.iVlkdW

For the aluminium base
https://world.taobao.com/item/524570132986....96601.65.iVlkdW

As for the switches, I've selected Gateron Clear/White 透明5脚白 x70 pieces from the same store. Please advice thanks.

P/S: My order worth is over RM500, will I get into trouble with the custom?

Hey guys, I'm finally back after a few months (???) and I'm now a proud owner of the Ducky One TKL, non-backlit version.

The set I got was a little funny, it's the last unit available at that shop that moment, so I grabbed it. That guy told me it was supposed to have black keycaps with orange printings, but now it's actually backlit-compatible keycaps.

Here's my question - how do you actually solder LEDs to the Ducky One? How does it actually work after I soldered them?

Where'd you bought the switches from? Most of the stuff I bought from Taobao doesn't cost me that much, bought 3 keyboards from there before on separate time frame. I think the heavier the stuff is, the more expensive it will be. Just use the combined shipping, means all items are sent to Taobao warehouse, where if you bought from different sellers, those sellers just have to send the stuff to the warehouse, under the warehouse all of your stuff will be pack together and ship all at once. Just don't use direct shipping if you're buying from various seller.

The stock that came to Malaysia, only the full-sized ones were orange-on-black. The TKL ones are backlit-compatible

Check if the board already has resistors pre-installed. If there are, then it's very easy to just add LEDs

Ah, I thought all of the non-backlit versions are shipped with the orange-on-black keycaps.
Anyway here are some shots of the PCB. Not sure if there are resistors on it, but it seems like it.
It doesn't seem to have any cues to differentiate which hole is negative or positive though hmm.gif
