Just published a review on Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L with Intelligent RGB and Cherry MX switches.

It's include teardown as well.
The images are all optimized to 90-120kb each, friendly for local slow internet. haha

Just got myself a Corsair Strafe RGB Cherry Red for RM 400+ from Gemfive.

Can't wait for it to arrive laugh.gif

Finally have the money to afford an expensive keyboard.

I've taken the whole board apart and it looks like there's a damaged/torn up resistor for the "I" LED. Will attempt to replace it if I can find spare parts.

Our boards having faults in the exact same position shows me their manufacturing process is not up to scratch.

I managed to sort out the LED issue, as expected the LED itself was okay but the resistor was busted.

I couldn't find the exact SMD resistor so I used a regular one instead.

Looks ugly but works perfectly. Will desolder & replace it with the proper SMD resistor once I've taobao-ed it.

It's an easy mod, you won't need to spend a lot of time on it smile.gif

Opening the casing shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes if it's your first time (or 10 minutes if you're experienced).

The actual soldering takes only 5 minutes.

Backlights are cool, though not fully RGB and colors can be easily customised through a software which you can download. However, colors seemed bland. However, I'm not a big fan of backlights to begin with so they remain off for me the whole time.
*
Hi tribaleps, do you have a working copy of the software? The one here doesn't work for me. It can't be unzipped (already tried on 3 different computers).

Initially, the feel was quite 'sandy', but after lubing the stems and critical contact points with Super Lube which you can get it from Ace Hardware, and putting on o-rings, the feel is a lot smoother and quieter (especially on the release) and the keyboard overall feels more solid with less free-play on the keys.
*
We must have the same thinking smile.gif I did the exact same thing with the exact same lube using a toothpick + art brush to make sure the contact points were fully coated. Took me about 1 1/2 hours but I can still feel the sandiness sad.gif

Overall I would say the improvement was only 30% or 40%

Bro, try 7zip the next time. Anyway, I've attached the file, see if it works.

Yea, unfortunately I couldn't completely eliminate the sandiness as well...guess it is just the unpolished plastic surface.
Hopefully through some wearing out, it could feel better over time. Thought of taking it apart and sanding the stems with an ultra-fine sandpaper, but the thought of it, the handling of the springs and all, really puts me off. One day perhaps.....one day.

But despite all its shortcomings, I really enjoy the keyboard, especially the quietness of it. Tend to swap back to this from my main Filco brown.

Thanks bro, works like a charm.

Was hoping the LEDs could be set per-key rather than per-zone via the software but unfortunately they can't sad.gif

This is the 2nd year of Topre RGB, since they showed it last year.
Always the same "design not finalised".
But, the layout is nice, non-common Realforce layout.

So guys, I've bought the the parts required to build my own 60% keyboard. All except for the PCB board itself. My plan is to buy GH60 board with the resistors and diodes installed. Is this the correct one?
https://world.taobao.com/item/41916850252.h...0.9eheaV#detail
or this?
https://world.taobao.com/item/45802760146.h...0.9eheaV#detail
Please help me out here as my Chinese is not that good, I don't really understand the electrical words for keyboard. I've read some guide on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboard...board_parts_on/
Some guy says that most GH60 already pre-soldered with resistor, diodes, basically everything except for the switches and LED itself. Is it true? I'm pretty worry about it, not sure if I should buy diodes and resistor separately... rclxub.gif
