It's called, "floating keys" design. More commonly seen in the form of Corsair's K65 and K70. There's also Varmilo's VA87M

They need to do dual-material doubleshot.

Legends = transparent/translucent polycarb

Body = extra-thick PBT

Problem is, polycarb melting point (120~C) lower than PBT (200+C) (general trend is transparent plastic melts lower point because of higher purity) deswai this will never happen.

SP got do one GB like this, but thin as fuark ABS keycaps that in the end looks worse.

So in the end, it's the materials that let us down. Until we find another easy to manufacture transparent plastic with high melting point.

Also, back becuz ZZ96 (shipping edy) and Nantucket selectric (shipping soon ™).

That's kinda niche marketing, don't think reseller want that. When I walk around Lowyat plaza, there are still many newbie to mkb got excited by those junky yet pricey shit

Many reseller still staying in general market, and they do it in general way.
If I ask such question, I can provide bare board without keycaps, but still the pricing is won't very far compared with full keyboard with keycaps.
And it depends on brand, I able to do it for Filco keyboard that I sell. laugh.gif

Not everyone has the budget to go custom, im saying this even though I hate those stock abs keycaps. It's there for people who just got into mechkb, or has the budget to only have 1 keyboard.

Better keycaps = more budget for manufacturer, in the end, they will use this chance to drive the price higher and use the "premium keycap" as a gimmick.

Ehhh I understand... Custom at least 50% more expensive, but trust me in the end it's worth it.

Custom is never 50% more expensive.. it's ready to empty your wallet, lose your left nut and sell your kidney.

Dust/Clean your keyboard once a while. Remove all your keycaps, and clean it using polident, and clean your plate area with brush.
