I wonder if any of you guys using 60% for programming work? Moving from TKL to 60% will gonna be huge learning curve, am I right? From CM QFK Stealth to ANNE 60% Pro.

Depend in your previous habit, it is quite annoying when I couldn't use alt+left for home (mac)

I feel like getting myself another collection, which is also supposed to be my new daily keyboard.
Didn't buy any ducky as I already owned a steelseries 7g and Razer blackwidow since long time ago. Recently tried a ducky with cherry MX green. It feel awesome. It doesn't feel like so heavy as 70-80 g at all though.
The tactile feel is as good as blue, but not flimsy like blackwidow.
Btw, any recommendation if want something like this:
Cherry MX green
Very SOLID keyboard
60% or tkl , ordinary use + some casual gaming
Non backlit is preferred, because I wish to exchange the some blank pbt keycap in graphite color, unless it come default will be awesome

Last time i went to Ultimate Zone at JAYA One, they have one ducky kb with mx green. Not sure what model but i think its non backlit
*
I been there too. Should ducky ONE. I know is rare, but it will great if it is pbt. Anyway , my vortex pbt on SS 7g also got shiny after years (awsd area)

This is something, I can't even keep my writing speed consistent with TKL. I might need lighter keyboard (currently using Brown).
And changing to 60% + new switch might turned a bit huge learning period for me.

I'm doing simple programming, as the code already there, just need to maintain and add some module from time to time.
I'm more into laptop-kind keyboard (without numpad), which I can rest my palm on touchpad sides. And I'm using Windows, will that make any different?
I prefer to use touchpad instead of mouse for coding, that's why I'm considering 60% for minimalist & compact so less hand moving.

*I'm considering ANNE 60% RGB BT for now, I don't know if it's cheap or not, but all the function fit my need (I change pc/tablets often for same works.). CM Stealth pretty much heavy, maybe ANNE considerably lighter?
*
Of course you get some palm rest (eg: ducky)

Of course they do. Here's one. I have a set. Feels nice and thick but the shine through is not the best, compared to ABS.

It looks great, I wonder how will it feel like if I put then on Razer blackwidow. Because to me, bw ain't a very shitty keyboard except the keycaps

Hey guys , any of you know why my steelseries 7g doesn't work with ps2 to USB converter (I bought 1 after I lost the original)? My KB is absolutely working with ps2 port. And I tested the converter with another ps2 keyboard and it is working

Guys, are there any mechanical keyboard that costs below 400 and has RGB?
prefer TKL, dont want 60%, full size is fine
*
Below 400 with rgb is almost impossible. Usually with backlit will have price tag around 400 and not to mention brand like filco. Even though you can find it will be having very shitty cap or cheap feel plastic in switch and casing.

hi, not sure if this is the place to ask about recommendation, I am planning to buy a new keyboard within this or the next month, and currently is looking to change to mechanical one (been using the cheap logitech K120 for years), budget is around RM300-350, and I would prefer those keyboards that are silent when typing (hate the clicky type), back light is optional

so any recommendation and where can I buy it (preferably local stores like Lowyat as I can go there and try the keyboard out before making my decision)
*
Yes, ultimate zone. Price wise maybe they are not cheapest. Buy they provide most display unit for variety of model. Kinda good service.

For your budget, I will suggest you get a non back lit version. Else you have to compromise with build quality of casing and keycaps

Hi Guys,

need suggestions for bang for the buck mech keyboard. I am on a limited budget any suggestions will help.

Also are the keys on all mechanical keyboards standard? I mean can you interchange them?
*
Yes or no in the way most of them are same. Some so called mechanical kb like Logitech with "romer g" switch doesn't feel like mechanical kb to me and of course they are not interchangeable to other key caps.

Besides of different switches, there are also different layout and keycaps profile. Eg: if you have an old steelseries 7g or 6g v2, they are using a chunky 2row "enter" which is not standard.

budget I guess max RM300 but the lower the better. I do not need 104 keys may 87 keys max
Hi thanks for explaining that to me. The quick xt is that rgb?
unsure.gif seems I need to research more coz I  want to customize my keyboard atleast for the common keys I use for linux
*
Not likely for customize mkb with RM300. Just reach some shop with demo unit and pickup one that you like the most. Special input signal needed for linux can be done by some software.

87 switches + some stabilizer + shipping is already about 300 d

IMO it's decent but couldn't be best

The bezel is too think(wide), not so comfort for me with or without wrist rest. Other aspect are all on par. However, the design always give me some nostalgic feeling

Read few review for pink switch (particularly filco silent) . Sounds great, can't wait to have a try. Will ask ultimate zone for a stock refill notification service biggrin.gif
Currently my daily keyboard is ducky one with mx green (love the click and tactile although is really tiring sometime), wonder how it feel if I change to mx pink

Currently I own blue, black, brown, green keyboard (one for each switch). Already have thought to expand the collection, can someone give opinions which one I should go for ? In my mind are varmillo mx clear and filco mx pink

one thing to note, ultimatezone doesn't carry warranty for Filco. I have never asked him personally, but was told that he is not part of Inter Asia which legally distributes Filco around Asia. It's not a problem to me if it fails, I would just find a way to fix it.. it's a keyboard after all. But proceed with caution!  rclxms.gif

I've had MX Greens before as well.. those are like rock to type! Never again! Too heavy for me. I think you should try MX reds first, before moving to MX pink, MX pink spring is somewhat heavier than MX reds IMO, so it's somewhere in between MX black and MX red, but smoother than a MX black. Similar to typing on a Topre, but without the tactile.
*
Haha I have faith for cherry and filco ^^

FYI, I have higher wpm with green / black than blue but have to mention that blue switch is a 3 years back Razer bw with the shitty stock keycaps

welp i never mesed with the leds.. i heard it's cmstorm's QC on that particular batch of keyboard too...

anyways i can't seem to find any retailers in malaysia selling these 60% boards lol... kbp v60, ducky mini etc. pok3r is out of my budget so i'll skip that :/

did u guys get your boards through taobao? how much are the shipping fees? sweat.gif
*
Not sure how much is your budget but I heard ultimate zone is selling pok3r @ rm499. IMO that is a good investment if your preference is 60%. Unless you want some special custom keycap , else the stock is already can consider top notch
